Today, Tuesday, the Yemeni Islah Party condemned the targeting of the working secretary of the Yemeni Journalists Syndicate, Muhammad Shabita, in the kidnapped capital, Sanaa.

Adnan al-Adayni, Deputy Head of the Department of Information and Culture and the official spokesman for the Islah Party, called on the media to condemn the crime of targeting, wishing to the Secretary-General of the Journalists Syndicate, Muhammad Shubaita a speedy recovery .

Al-Audayni confirmed the targeting of the Secretary-General of the Journalists Syndicate today in Sanaa came as a natural result of the hostile atmosphere created by the terrorist Houthi militia against symbols of the press.

He stressed that the press has been a target of militia fire since its first day, whereas the leader of the Houthi militia remained openly incites and demonizes against journalists in his speeches.

Last Tuesday, the Secretary-General of the Yemeni Journalists Syndicate Muhammad Shabita and his son were injured, while one of his relatives was killed as a result of gunfire that targeted his car in Sanaa.

According to media sources, the car of the Secretary-General of the Journalists Syndicate was shot in front of the Ministry of Information building, resulting in him being seriously injured, after which he was admitted to the intensive care unit of a hospital.

According to the same sources, one of Shabita’s relatives was killed in the incident and his son was injured, while the details of the incident, its dimensions, and the source of the shooting are not yet clear.
