Yesterday in Ryadh the capital of Saudi Arabia, Chairman of the Supreme Authority of the Yemeni Islah Party, Mr. Muhammad Abdullah Al-Yadumi, discussed with the US Ambassador to Yemen, Matthew Toler, the latest developments in Yemen, as well as a number of issues and topics of common concern, especially humanitarian crisis caused by the coup against state institutions and the need to work to end this suffering.
Al-Yadumi renewed Islah's support for the efforts of the UN envoy, Martin Griffiths, and all efforts aimed at establishing stability and peace in accordance with the three references representing in the Gulf Initiative and its executive mechanism and the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and international resolutions, foremost of which is resolution 2216.
In this context, he pointed out that the rejection and rebellion of the coup against all peace initiatives and their adherence to violence led to doubling the tragedy of Yemenis and hindered a comprehensive and just peace.
Al-Yadumi valued the American position that supports the legitimacy and rejects the Iranian interventions in Yemen, expressing his hope for more support for Yemen and its constitutional legitimacy to achieve its national benefits.
For his part, the American Ambassador valued the role of the Yemeni Islah Party in pushing the political process permanently, stressing his country's keenness to end the suffering of the Yemeni people and support all political components to push for a political solution according to the agreed references.
