Deputy Head of the Parliamentary Bloc of the Yemeni Islah Party, Head of the Aden Islah Party, MP Ensaf Mayo, welcomed the government and its Prime Minister during the session held by the Yemeni parliament in the interim capital, Aden.

During his intervention during the parliament session to discuss the state’s general budget, Mayo said that “since the announcement of this program until this day, things have deteriorated and little has not been achieved since it was written and since the government approved this program.”

Mayo added that "this meeting comes today, after a Yemeni-Yemeni Consultation was held in Riyadh, which reached many visions and proposals, and the government should have presented a vision, especially in the aspect concerned with the suffering of citizens."

And Mayo confirmed that the economic team and the other teams participating in the Riyadh Consultations presented visions, solutions and proposals that addressed the current situation and held meetings with the Prime Minister, the government and the governor of the Central Bank, and urgent visions were prepared that must be implemented within a period not exceeding one or two months.

And Mayo indicated that the Prime Minister should have come before Parliament and says that he would work during these two months to save the collapsed and catastrophic economic situation in the country.

And MP Mayo called on the government to work on addressing the consequences of the split in interests and revenue institutions, which the Houthi coup benefited from and started financing his coup from these resources due to the failure of the state apparatus.

In his intervention, which was followed by the editor of the alsahwa-yemen.net, Mayo called on the government to work on solving the issue of levies that burdened citizens in the liberated Governorates and illegal fees that were imposed on oil derivatives and goods in ports in more than one port.

"Seven years ago, the Governorate of Aden was announced as the interim capital of the country, but after a forced absence for seven years, we returned to this Governorate and were shocked by the piles of destruction resulting from the Houthi war, and these piles are still in the streets of the city," he said.

He confirmed that this matter was discussed with the Prime Minister when he was in the position of Deputy Minister of Public Works, and we talked about the houses that were destroyed during the Houthi war against Aden and he that a scenario (a - b - c) has been prepared and we will work on them in stages, noting that the government has not implemented any of its promises and the citizens whose homes were destroyed have not been compensated with sums of money to pay rents, wondering: Where do grants allocated for the effects of war go to?

And at the conclusion of his intervention, MP Mayo touched on the events in the capital, Aden, during the last period, including violations of human rights and assassinations of many of its citizens.

And Mayo indicated that the last assassination was carried out against Mr. Ihab Bawazir, a teacher of the Holy Qur’an, in addition to the operations of closing the headquarters of parties, including the Islah Party and the Popular Congress Party in Aden, wondering what the government had done in this regard.

He made it clear that to this day there are more than 25 martyrs who were assassinated in Aden, and these crimes were not registered in the Criminal Investigation Department, the Ministry of Human Rights, or any other ministry, calling on the government to do its duty, arresting the perpetrators and holding them accountable.
