Text of the statement

 We congratulate our great Yemeni people on the advent of the blessed month of Ramadan, which is upon us at a time when Yemenis are living a war on more than one front and in more than one field, where the ominous coup of September 21 brought woes and other calamities upon Yemen and the Yemenis. This black coup opened the door wide to the Persian project, which continues to double its support for the priesthood Houthi militia, which is completely dependent on Iran and has ignited a war on Yemenis in most parts of the country.

 This military front in which the Yemenis found themselves face to face in a fierce war imposed by the Houthi militia, which, with a treacherous background, seized the state’s camps in that coup, in addition to the continuous military support provided by Iran, was targeting Yemen, all the countries of the Arabian Peninsula and the Gulf, and even the entire Arab world.

 And for more than seven years, the Iranian-backed Houthi priesthood militia has besieged Taiz in front of the suspicious silence from the international community regarding this unjust siege imposed on the people of the Governorate, which is a siege that has turned its residential neighborhoods into a permanent target for the indiscriminate bombing that kills children and women.

And today, UN envoy Grundenberg talks about a truce for two months, at the time when we here in Taiz welcome the announcement of the truce and the release of all prisoners and abductees without exception, we condemn the double standards method. While the United Nations declaration calls for the immediate opening of Sanaa airport and the port of Hodeidah, it postpones the lifting of the siege imposed on Taiz and the opening of roads until a time when the legitimacy meets with the terrorist Houthi militia to discuss ending the siege and opening roads.

And the parties and civil and youth components that signed this statement deeply regret the way the United Nations deals with the suffering of Taiz and the siege imposed on it by the terrorist Houthi group, where Taiz is not present in the attention of the United Nations except as a cover to pass issues that serve the Houthi group only and it was satisfied with giving Taiz mere bogus promises that do not achieve anything, as was the case in the notorious Stockholm Agreement.

The people of Taiz Governorate denounce this way of dealing with their suffering, in which the United Nations procrastinates and hastened to implement immediately with regard to the Houthi militia.

And with regard to this dubious disregard for the suffering of Taiz, we draw everyone's attention to the following:

1) We call on the international community, which talks about respecting international regulations and laws, to look at the suffering of Taiz and all Yemenis because of the Houthi militia through a fair application of these regulations and laws, as well as the implementation of Security Council resolutions related to Yemen.

2) We reject the suffering of Taiz to be just a name for passing decisions in the interest of the Houthi militia without looking at the issues of Taiz in the slightest.

 3) We call on the consultative conference being held in Riyadh to take an urgent stance towards this bias towards a terrorist group at the expense of the suffering and issues of a people.

4) We call for peace and welcome the armistice and the release of all prisoners and abductees without exception, but we demand the simultaneous implementation of lifting the siege imposed on Taiz and opening roads with the opening of Sanaa airport.

5) We call for the opening of Taiz Airport and the opening of the Taiz - Al-Rahida - Aden road to the movement of citizens.

6) We call on all political and social forces, thinkers, politicians, media professionals and all segments of society to demand the simultaneous implementation of lifting the siege imposed on Taiz with the opening of Sana'a Airport.

7) We appreciate the role of the Arab Alliance led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in helping and supporting the Yemeni people. We also call on them and all the brothers to extend a helping hand and economic support, especially at a time when Yemen is facing the Persian project that targets the entire Arab national security.

8) Also, we would like to stress here to invite the participants in the Riyadh consultations called for by the Gulf Cooperation Council to pay sufficient attention to the economic situation, as well as to what alleviates the suffering of people and improve their living conditions, with our hope that these consultations will reach results working to achieve the goals of Yemen and Yemenis.
