Member of the Supreme Authority of the Yemeni Islah Party, Head of the Parliamentary Bloc, MP Abdul Razzaq al-Hajri, praised China's position in support of the legitimate government in Yemen regarding confronting the coup carried out by the terrorist Houthi militia that overthrew the Yemeni state and plunged the country into war.

He expressed his appreciation the great efforts exerted by China and the international community to bring peace and end war and human suffering.

This came in a speech delivered on behalf of the Secretary-General of the Yemeni Islah Party, Mr. Abdul Wahab al-Anisi, and the leadership of the Islah Party at the Chinese Communist Party Conference with Arab Parties, last Wednesday, which included an elite group of Arab party leaders with Chinese friends.

Al-Hajri expressed his thanks to the Chinese government for their support for the health sector in Yemen, in order to help confront the Corona virus epidemic and the support offered in previous periods.

He praised the history of relations between the Republic of Yemen and the People's Republic of China, which have been continued for many years. He described this relationship as distinguished relations, whether at the official or party level, praising the bilateral relationship between the Yemeni Islah Party and the Chinese Communist Party, and reiterating the Islah Party's congratulations to friends on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.

Al-Hajri affirmed the position and solidarity of the Islah Party with the People’s Republic of China in facing the Corona virus pandemic, reiterating the appreciation of the great efforts that have been made in order to address this epidemic, whether at the level of the Republic of China or at the international level, noting that this position is the same position of the Government of the Republic of Yemen.

The member of the Supreme Authority of the Islah Party said: "We reject the politicization attempt that is taking place in the issue of tracing the origin of the Corona virus and settling international accounts at the expense of the scientific issue, which should not deviate from its scientific and research track and not be employed politically."

He made it clear that the world is in dire need of unifying the situation, efforts and capabilities to confront and eliminate the Corona epidemic, and to help poor countries and their people in facing this pandemic, calling on the major and rich countries to provide vaccines to poor people and not to monopolize it in light of the outbreak of the epidemic.

He considered that employing the pandemic to achieve political goals harms efforts to confront the epidemic and increases its dangers to poor countries that are unable to confront the epidemic.
