Assistant Secretary-General of the Yemeni Islah Party in the Hadhramawt Valley and Desert, Munir Bamuhaimoud, stressed the importance of activating the role of professional unions in order to recover stolen and wasted rights.

In an expanded meeting on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, which was organized by the Islah Party in Tarim Directorate, yesterday, Thursday, he noted the demands made by teachers as a result of the difficult living conditions in light of the low salaries and the severe collapse in the currency. He stressed the safety and continuation of the educational process for our children, considering that education is an essential pillar for building and renaissance of society.

He also stressed the necessity of restoring and activating the state institutions elected by the people, most notably the House of Representatives and the local councils in the governorate and their affiliated directorates, in order to perform their oversight and accounting roles, because they are the oversight bodies elected by the citizens themselves to achieve the proper practice of the state’s executive bodies.

Bamuhaimoud explained that the Islah Party seeks to unify efforts with all parties, components and societal figures for the benefit of Hadhramawt in particular and Yemen in general.

Bamuhaimoud congratulated the notables from the regions of Nuwaidra, Al-Suhail Al-Khalif, Khila, Al-Radhima and Al-Souq, who participated in the meeting.

While the head of the Guidance Department in the Executive Office of the Islah Party in Hadhramawt, Sheikh Omar Baadil, touched on the importance of the role of notables in moving societal issues and creating public opinion, noting the pioneering role of Hadhramawt notables in aspects of conciliating between the people and the positive influence on the executive bodies and their support in order to Doing its duty to serve the community.

The meeting was attended by a member of the House of Representatives, Ahmed Hassan Bakran Bahwirth, a member of the local Islah Party Shura Council, Ahmed Omar Bahnan, the head of the Islah Party in Tarim Directorate, Omar Obaid Bagharib, and a number of neighborhood officials, members of the local council, social figures, and notables.
