The head of the Information and Culture Department of the Yemeni Islah Party, Ali al-Jaradi, said that the republican regime for Yemenis was considered liberation from the system of slavery and priesthood, which was characterized by claiming the divine appointment of persons and claiming their distinction from the rest of the people.

In his article, which he published on his official account on the (X) platform, he explained that the situation that existed before the Republic was a racist slavery system, which sought to legitimize slavery in a religious guise.

Al-Jaradi stressed that according to political systems, the imamate cannot be defined as a monarchy.

It is clear that the republican system was not for the Yemenis a political choice between multiple systems from which the people could take what suits them.
