Vice Head of the Information and Culture Department of the Yemeni Islah Party, Adnan Al-Audayni, affirmed the position of the Islah Party in support of the armed forces in restoring state institutions and protecting the dreams and aspirations of Yemenis, in addition to its complete bias towards the will of the Yemeni people, which is recognized by the constitution and international covenants and is supported by Security Council resolutions and United Nations statements.

In a series of tweets that he posted on his Twitter account, al-Audayni referred to the talk of the former United Nations envoy to Yemen, Jamal bin Omar, and said that he gave positive testimony about the Islah Party as a coherent national force that was a target of the Houthi militia during the battle to overthrow Yemen.

Al-Audayni denied what was mentioned in Bin Omar’s talk about the Islah Party owning an armed formation, stressing that this is incorrect, as it contradicts the Yemeni political system, which stipulates the prohibition of the possession of military formations by political parties.

The Vice Head of the Information Department in the Islah Party reiterated that the Yemeni Islah Party is a political party that works according to the constitution and the law followed in Yemen and with the usual mechanisms and its presence, its name and its descriptions are derived from the legal authority in the country.

And he expressed the Islah Party's astonishment at attaching the Party with an external organization.

He stressed that the first person who should take into account this fact is Mr. Jamal Bin Omar, "but he did not do that, unfortunately."
