The Executive Office of the Yemeni Islah Party in the temporary capital, Aden, renewed its demand for the formation of an international investigation committee to investigate the assassination crimes that Aden witnessed during the past five years and targeted political, military and security leaders, scholars, imams of mosques and social figures.

This came in a statement issued on the occasion of the five-year anniversary of the assassination of Sheikh Saleh Salem bin Hulays, head of the first Executive Office of the Yemeni Islah Party in the interim capital, Aden, head of the Judicial Department, who was assassinated by treacherous bullets fired by gunmen while he was leaving the Al-Ridha Mosque in the Mansoura Directorate on August 15, 2016.

The Aden Islah Party stressed that obstructing the litigation procedures regarding the file of the assassinations in the city of Aden, which resulted in the killing of hundreds of cadres, political, social and religious figures, foremost of which the Engineer Bin Hulays, is no longer acceptable.

It stressed the conduct of a transparent and fair investigation to reveal the accused and the parties that incited and financed these assassinations.

The Islah Party demanded the Public Prosecution Office to reveal the accused and the parties that stood behind the assassination of Bin Hulays and all social figures from the people of Aden and to activate the litigation file before the internal national judiciary.

It said that the passage of five years since the assassination without conducting a real investigation considers a stigma on the forehead of the judiciary institution and the judicial control authorities, pointing out that the aim of the series of criminal assassinations is to empty Aden of its prominent personalities.

It noted that the martyr Engineer Saleh Hulays is considered a man of politics, thought and enlightenment person and one of the national symbols that sought to spread social peace among the people of the country.

The Aden Islah Party expressed its confidence in the emergence of justice and that the blood of the martyrs will blossom with roses that herald a better future in which the goals and aspirations for which they sacrificed and gave their most precious possessions will be achieved.

Almighty said: "( 169 )  And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision, ( 170 )  Rejoicing in what Allah has bestowed upon them of His bounty, and they receive good tidings about those [to be martyred] after them who have not yet joined them - that there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve. ( 171 )  They receive good tidings of favor from Allah and bounty and [of the fact] that Allah does not allow the reward of believers to be lost -." (Surat Al Imran).

It is no longer acceptable to obstruct the litigation procedures in the file of the assassinations in the city of Aden, which resulted in the killing of hundreds of cadres, political, social and religious figures, at foremost of which the Engineer Sheikh Saleh Salem bin Hulays.

Accordingly, there is nothing less than conducting a transparent and fair investigation that will reveal the suspects in the assassination of Sheikh Saleh Hulays and all the other assassinations and those who incited and financed the assassinations.

Today, while we commemorate the fifth anniversary of the assassination of Engineer Sheikh Saleh Hulays, we demand the Public Prosecution to reveal the accused and the parties behind his assassination and the assassination of all social figures from the people of Aden, and we demand that the litigation file be activated before the internal national judiciary.

The passing of five years without conducting a real investigation is a stigma on the forehead of the institution of the judiciary and the judicial control authorities.

The series of criminal assassinations that engulfed the city of Aden aimed to empty this city of its prominent personalities, one of the most prominent victims of which was the Engineer Sheikh Saleh Hulays as a man of politics, thought and enlightenment and one of the national symbols that sought to spread social peace among the people of the country.

Martyr Saleh Hulays was a unique political man and a stubborn fighter who did not talk too much about political terms as much as he presented them as a model and practical practice through his wide relations and openness to all colors of the spectrum and giving priority to the public interest.

Our confidence that justice will one day appear for the struggle of the faithful is like our confidence that the blood of the martyrs will one day bloom, heralding a better future in which those goals and wishes for which they sacrificed and gave their most precious possessions will be fulfilled.

May Allah have mercy on the martyr Saleh Hulays and may Allah have mercy on all the victims of the treacherous assassinations and may Allah make their abode in His spacious gardens.

"(227) And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned." (Surat Al-Shu`ara’)
