Chairman of the Supreme Authority of the Yemeni Islah Party, Mr. Muhammad Abdullah al-Yadumi, met in the Saudi capital Riyadh on Tuesday with H.E the Ambassador of the United States of America to our country Matthew Toler.

During the meeting, discussions were held on the latest developments in Yemen, a number of issues of common concern, developments in the military situation and humanitarian suffering resulting from the war caused by the Houthi militias' coup against the state.

The Chairman of the Supreme Islah Authority stressed the support of international efforts to reach a political solution in accordance with the three agreed references, namely the Gulf Initiative, the outputs of the National Dialogue Conference and UN Security Council resolution No. 2216.

Al-Yadumi praised the US position in support of the legitimacy, expressing his hope for more support for Yemen and its legitimate government and support of the humanitarian side.

For his part, US Ambassador Matthew Toler expressed his appreciation for the role of the Islah Party in pushing the political process at various stages, stressing the importance of paying attention to the humanitarian aspect in Yemen and resolving the Yemeni crisis according to the three references.
