Islah, homeland and adversities... From fabricating rumors to the behavior of criminality

Allegations of terrorism:

International testimonies reported that Islah Party is a target of terrorism...

The process of fabricating the charge of terrorism with the Islah is one of the most dangerous rumors, but in return, it is the most failure.

The media propaganda war waged by Saleh's regime against the Islah Party culminated in election seasons. It is clear that these campaigns were produced by specialized foreign companies. Although the state institutions gave a bias to the GPC and its candidates, competition in the elections and its results were formal and predetermined. Nevertheless, the Islah Party had been participating in the elections despite its prior knowledge that these elections do not enjoy the minimum freedom, justice and integrity, which are three election-bound syndromes in order for elections to have credibility in procedures and outcomes.

In 1997, the General People's Congress had set itself a non-limit electoral campaign. That campaign had exceeded all red lines, targeting the very core of the national unity. The campaign was carried out with the participation of state institutions, where the Moral Guidance Department of the Armed Forces and the newspaper of September 26 adopted the printing of promotion posters of the GPC by using state-of-the-art technologies at the expense of the state and leading an electoral campaign among the armed forces in favor of one party and widespread incitement against a civil political party that has masses throughout Yemen.

Because the Taliban in Afghanistan was a model of closure, militancy and extremism, the election campaign of the GPC described Islah Party as “the Taliban of Yemen” and linked Islah with the events of Algeria, which resulted in more than 1,000 lives.

Saleh used extensive terrorism against the Islah, describing it as terrorism. This has been demonstrated by the use of State institutions against the State itself. This description has become a terror for society, where society has come to believe that the election of the candidates of Islah means death. And although Islah's members are part of the society, propaganda press has exceeded all imaginations.

In 2001, during the local elections won by the Islah Party in the two oil governorates, Marib and Hadhramout, where Islah had maintained its presence in Taiz and other governorates, Saleh took punitive measures against the two governorates of Hadhramout and Marib. These measures resulted in the removal of the Governor Saleh Aubad al-Khulani from Hadhramout and the removal of the Governor Saleh Sumaie from Marib Governorate. In an apparent process, groups of al-Qaeda had been resettled in Hadhramout and Marib, after they were linked to Saleh in Abyan, to fabricate the terrorism charge with the Islah Party and to empower al Qaeda in the two governorates.

Is this a political rivalry or action against the state, betrayal of the honesty, and exposing the state and its supreme interests to danger? Saleh did it.

The transition from political action to malicious reporting that was adopted by the regime against individuals such as Sheikh Muhammad Ali al-Moayad who was subsequently acquitted by an American court. Sheikh al-Moayad was kidnapped on charges of financing Hamas. Sheikh Abdul Majid al-Zindani was also charged with financing terrorism, but this charge was not proven against him and remained pending.

The assassination of Mr. Jarallah Omar

Saleh preferred terrorism more than political action.

Mr. Jarallah Omar, Assistant Secretary General of the Yemeni Socialist Party, was a well-known thinker and intellectual who warned the party from southern alignment in the 1993 crisis.

Jarallah has agreed with Mr. Muhamad Qahtan, who has been forcibly disappeared since 2015, to establish a bloc of political parties known as the Joint Meeting Parties. Saleh considered this bloc to be the greatest threat to his monopoly of power and the bequeathing project. Accordingly, it had been planned to get rid of Jarallah Omar with overwhelming method for the JMP, Islah and the Socialist. After that, the third general conference of the Islah Party, which was held at the military college in Sana'a, which was chosen to carry out the assassination of Jarallah?

This process would have led to confusion in the Conference and perhaps shooting in different directions among the Conference. Then occur a catastrophe that would lead to getting rid of the Islah. If it did not happen, it would be enough to kill Jarallah Omar in the presence of Islah leaderships and their general conference. But the rationality of the Socialist leadership and its knowledge of the process wasted some of the desired repercussions.

In that time, the official media had prepared a plan and correspondents of satellite channels for the assassination process, including the unusual direct broadcast of the Yemeni satellite channel!

Ali Jarallah al-Sa'wani, who carried out the assassination, was trying to sue President Saleh and the government, but was arrested by the Political Security, and then he had been prepared in the political Security to go out to kill Mr. Jarallah.

The fabrication of the charge of terrorism with Islah Party was part of the objectives of the Jarallah assassination, but the JMP leadership came out with some people, feeling the great loss of Mr. Jarallah Omar.

In the run-up to the 2006 presidential elections, state authorities released al-Qaeda detainees from the Political Security Prison under the pretext of escaping from prison. These fugitives were required to conduct theater operations. Among these fugitives was a person who was appointed as a personal guard for presidential candidate Faisal bin Shamlan. This person was involved in a fabricated operation, and later on acquitted after being used in the election campaign.

In the tradition of states, this means that groups that practice terrorism are controlled by the Authority which uses them at any time it wishes. It means that it is an authority hostile to the state and society, suffered from political and security illiteracy, and constitutes the most important source of danger to the security and safety of the state.

Ali Saleh continued to weaken the state and abuse its reputation until he finally handed it over to the Imamate.

The opponents of the Islah party know very well that Islah is a civil political party with an Islamic reference. The choices of Islah are moderate and far from extremism. The Yemeni Islah Party is a non-closure conservative party and no opened without ecdysis. Conservatism does not mean solidification and openness does not mean chaos. There are political currents meet under the umbrella of organization and clear diversity. Islah is careful regarding bloodshed and does not adopt it. In crises, it seeks solutions that prevent the country from falling into war and killing. Throughout its history, Islah has not established armed militias.

Sorting and classifying the Yemeni crisis:

Testimonies to come from UN credible experts and committees are considered good luck for the Islah Party, to come testimonies. These testimonies indicate that the Islah is a political actor targeted by militias in their ranks (terrorists). Two reports issued by the Committee of Experts of the UN Security Council, which is charged with following up the situation in Yemen, where the two reports confirmed on:

That armed militias have elements from ISIS and al-Qaeda in their ranks for the implementation of assassinations against leaders in the political Islah Party.

There is also a serious report issued by an American website BuzzFeed. This report states that an Israeli security company is operating in Aden and its sole mission is to assassinate the leaders of the Islah Party. The report also mentioned the operation that targeted the bombing of the Islah headquarters in Aden in December 2015. The report noted that the elements behind the assassinations confess that Islah is a political party that participated in the various elections and does not use violence.

There are forces that were formed by Saleh and these forces were later adopted by external forces that moved the situation from launching terrorist propaganda to organized killing by real terrorists.

The Islah Party has been exposed to a broad wave of Houthi terrorism, as the pillar of the Yemeni state and its republican system. The Houthis consider Islah the most important enemy for them. Many of the Islahis have been assassinated, kidnapped and disappeared, and also blowing up houses and headquarters, and even mosques and Koranic schools on suspicion of links to the Islah.

Islah is a civilian political party, and it is the most Yemeni force targeted by terror and terrorist operations carried out against it. Islah has been and remains the most victims of terrorism and organized crime.

Many testify that there has not been a single terrorist operation since 1990 and up to the moment attributed to Islah, but Islah is always targeted by terrorism, Aden is witness.

The Islah exposed to the largest security, military, political and intellectual terrorism by friends and opponents alike. Terrorism campaigns against the Islah are financed and sustained and the incitement against it does not stop, which has made the Islah pays the cost of its confrontation against the Houthi and separatist militias and others.
