Yemeni Prime Minister, Dr. Ahmed Obaid Bin Dagher condemned the assassinations and terrorist acts against military and security leaders, imams and preachers, including terrorist acts targeting leaders and members of the Islah Party in Aden and other liberated governorates.

According to the official Saba news agency, this condemnation came on Sunday during the prime minister's visit to the wounded Ahmed, the son of a leader in the Islah Party and the secretary of the Doctors Association in Aden Dr. Aref Muhammad Ali, who is receiving treatment in the Egyptian capital Cairo due to serious wounds after his father was subjected to a failed assassination attempt in Aden by an explosive device planted in his car.

According to the agency, the prime minister's condemnation included the terrorist attack against the national figure and leading member of the Islah Party, Dr. Aref Ahmed Ali, as the perpetrators of criminal acts will not escape prosecution, legal accountability and fair punishment.

The agency said that Ben Dagher renewed his call to “the unification of the military and security apparatus in Aden and other governorates under one political and military leadership under the banner of the legitimacy represented by President Abd Rabo Mansour Hadi.”

The agency quoted the prime minister as saying: “The absence of security and stability in Aden is due to the absence of the unified leadership of the security services and the multiplicity of sources of command and funding for them, as well as the absence of a clear security and military strategy that controls the movement of all, punish the wrongdoer and deter those who work against the state.”

The Prime Minister called upon the parties, the social forces and the national, cultural and religious figures to condemn these criminal acts, solidarity and cooperation in order to expose the perpetrators of these acts and not to surrender to the terrorist situation created by these illegal acts and to adherence to the supreme interests of the nation within the framework of the legitimacy within a federal state as an exit from war and a solution to the crisis of state and society.
