Text of the Statement:

The Yemeni Islah Party in Hadhramawt congratulates the outcomes of the consultations that took place among the sons of Hadhramawt in the past few days in Riyadh, which led to the announcement of the establishment of the Hadhramawt National Council as a political representative that expresses the aspirations of the Hadhrami community and the issuance of the Hadhrami political and human rights document in a way that meets the aspirations of the sons of Hadhramawt and their right to manage their political, economic, security, social and cultural affairs, in addition to signing the Hadhrami honor treaty in a way that enhances the unity and cohesion of the ranks and commitment to Hadhramawt at home and abroad.

At a time when we in the Hadhramawt Islah Party congratulate this important step taken by our people in Hadhramawt, we commend the immortal fraternal position of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as their adoption and sponsorship of these consultations, which would not have been achieved without the grace of Allah and then the support and sponsorship of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

None of this is surprising for our brothers in the Kingdom, but rather this is what we have always known about them.

We are confident that they will provide more support for this achievement in order to achieve its noble goals that all the people of Hadhramawt and the homeland aspire to in a way that benefits Hadhramawt, Yemen and the region in general.

We also affirm what the Hadhrami Political Document affirmed regarding Hadhramawt’s right to fair participation in sovereign decision-making, as well as representation in parliament and Shura Council, governmental and negotiating bodies, and the diplomatic corps in a way that enhances confidence among the people of the homeland and creates a true partnership that reassures everyone and works to establish solid foundations for the state-federal.

There is no doubt that this event will be in the interest of the success of the mission of the Arab Alliance led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to restore constitutional legitimacy in Yemen and strengthen its various pillars and institutions on the ground to confront the Houthi coup militias that threaten national and Gulf security, international navigation and world peace alike.

This document, its content, the declaration of the founding of the Council and its constituent committee require serious and continuous striving to achieve the goals for which all these achievements were reached, by the local authority, political and societal components, personalities, and competencies at home and abroad.

We are confident that our people in Hadhramawt will succeed in obtaining their legitimate rights.

And Allah is the one who provides success.
