Notice:

The political platform of the Yemeni Islah Party was divided into two sections: The first section is the building of society, and several chapters fall under it. The second section is the building of the state and several chapters fall under it.

It is worth noting that there is an overlap between the chapters of the book, and this is considered a natural matter because Islamic civilizational values are a system of overlapping circles, this is first.

Secondly, the political platform used the terms of the values of the Holy Qur’an literally, and this is the majority, also the political platform used contemporary terms for some values, but the concepts of those values are strongly present in the texts of the Holy Qur’an and Islamic legislation, and the goal here is the discourse from the perspective of the culture of the age.

Based on what was mentioned above, what is the cosmic value system?

1- The Islamic value system is the cosmic value system agreed upon in all the monotheistic religions and man-made philosophies. Some also call it cultural values.

2- Civilizational values in the teachings of Islam are distinguished by their values emanating from the heavy word that was mentioned in the Holy Qur’an, {Indeed, We will cast upon you a heavy word.}, and the heavy word means:

a- The transcendent, meaning the Holy.

b- Cosmic…

c- The infinity.

3- The concept of values:

In Quranic usage: Values are the established beliefs in religion, identity and civilization, and this will be well illustrated by our review of the system of Islamic cosmic values included in the political platform of the Yemeni Islah Party.

4- Literal evidence to values:

- {Say, "Indeed, my Lord has guided me to a straight path – a correct religion – the way of Abraham, inclining toward truth. And he was not among those who associated others with Allah."}

- {That is the correct religion}.

- {The fitrah (creation) of Allah upon which He has created [all] people. No change should there be in the creation of Allah. That is the correct religion, but most of people do not know.}.

- {And that is the correct religion.}.

The cosmic value system

1- The centrality of the doctrine of monotheism. The universal value system emanates from this nodal centrality.

2- Human dignity. Honoring the human being is the basis of all values.

- Human rights and civilized values related to it.

3- Freedom and Equality:

These two values are two sides of the same coin. Where there is no freedom without equality, and there is no equality without freedom, on the one hand.. On the other hand, freedom, equality and democracy are a manifestation of honoring human beings.

4- Justice and acting justly. These are two cosmic values, one of which is related to the judicial system of the state only, but acting justly is a human value and its application in dealing with people with each other is related to dealing with society in general.

It is worth noting that acting justly is overlapped with a great cosmic value, which is mercy.. Where society is required to act justly from everyone towards everyone.. Where society is required to act justly from everyone to everyone..

And the difference between justice and acting justly is that acting justly is between righteousness, love, cooperation, justice, compassion and coexistence, meaning the acceptance of the other. All of these are combined by one term, which is Islam (O you who have believed, enter into Islam completely [and perfectly] and do not follow the footsteps of Satan).

Almighty said: {Allah does not forbid you from those who do not fight you because of religion and do not expel you from your homes – from being righteous toward them and acting justly toward them. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly.}

5- Beneficence:

The value of beneficence includes a package of civilized human values, which are: Quality, perfection, beauty, finesse, order, love of order and commitment.

6- Moderation:

This is the approach of the Islah Party, building society away from extremism, strictness, puritanism and narrow-mindedness, as well as away from misusing and wasting the values of society's belief, culture, identity and civilization.. Because there is no room for respecting the identity and values of society on the one hand and inviting people in a good way on the other.

7- Solidarity. It means cooperation in righteousness, piety and compassion.

8- Equal citizenship:

This value was mentioned in the Holy Qur’an under a term that was circulating at the time when the Holy Qur’an was revealed, which is “the homes”, where this term was mentioned in the Holy Qur’an more than 22 times and several times under another connotation such as “The Holy Mosque”.

It is worth noting that:

The Holy Qur’an expresses killing oneself and leaving one’s home in one text: {And if We had ordered them to sacrifice their lives or to leave their homes, very few of them would have done it.}

That is, leaving the homes is one of the greatest hardships for the human soul, as is the hardship of ordering to kill yourself.

On the other hand, we find that the Holy Qur’an arranged a severe warning in this world and the hereafter against all those who work or participate in the expulsion of citizens from their homes or their homelands.. Rather, the Holy Qur’an gave it a dangerous term that expulsion is sedition, and that sedition is more severe than killing (They ask thee concerning fighting in the Prohibited Month. Say: "Fighting therein is a grave (offense); but graver is it in the sight of Allah to prevent access to the path of Allah, to deny Him, to prevent access to the Sacred Mosque, and drive out its members." Tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter.), and there are many verses that included a severe threat as well.

Accordingly:

- Citizenship in the Quranic concept is belonging.

- The Messenger, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, embodied citizenship in a practical way in the Al-Madinah’s constitution, making the Al-Madinah’s geographical area the basis for the right of belonging to all the Al-Madinah’s residents – supporters, immigrants, hypocrites, polytheists and Jews.. That they all have to protect the Al-Madinah according to the constitution.

9- Patriotism:

The political platform stipulated this value literally in more than one place that requires talking about identity, culture, history and antiquities… etc.

It is not surprising that the political platform singles out this value. How not.. Especially since patriotism is closely related to the sacred human civilizational cosmic creedal values system.

10- Building the state:

This value came in the context of building the individual, the family and society. This is because building a state of rational governance stems from a conscious, adult society and that a state with individual domination is a natural product because of the absence of adult society.

11- The position of women in society:

Talking about women in the political platform occupied nearly two pages in a focused and intense language, based on all the previous values and the texts of the Holy Qur’an that made gender equality the basis, and that there is no correct and explicit evidence that prevents women from broad participation in nation-building – exceptions related to their ability to contribute in terms of her commitment to building the family, leaving her the right to choose and go according to her capabilities and abilities…etc

Conclusion:

The vision of the political platform of the Islah Party started from a deep and comprehensive philosophy based on three foundations: Allah, the universe and life. This is because the human being is the center of the legislation and is the successor in the construction of the earth.

The political platform also emphasized the necessity of consolidating these values, respecting them, preserving them and protecting them. In its political vision regarding building society, the Islah Party is committed to this Islamic approach first, the state second, and the moderate, peaceful, coexisting approach.

We meet, God willing, with the principles of state-building.
