Deputy Head of Islah's Media: We condemn any support offered to the coup and consider it is an action against the Yemeni will

"The party's position regarding the Gulf crisis is the same as the position of the legitimacy, which is part of it," said Mr. Adnan al-Audaini the deputy head of the Information and Culture Department of the Yemeni Islah Party. This was expressed by the leaderships of the party in more than one statement. The Assistant Secretary-General Dr. Muhammad al-Saadi said at the time of the Gulf crisis that Islah is part of the Yemeni legitimacy, which had set its position in that time.

In an interview with the satellite channel Al-Hadath, al-Audaini denied that the position of Islah in relation to the Gulf crisis has been delayed, adding that today's talk is a confirmation of the previous position, which was previously reported by the Assistant Secretary-General.

Al-Audaini added, "In our latest talk, we expressed our regret about the media support provided by the State of Qatar to the coup, especially it was part of the Alliance that had been formed for supporting the legitimacy. Qatar is well aware of what the Houthis mean, their danger and their association with the Iranian project, and therefore their threat to Arab national security in general."

Deputy Head of the Information Department confirmed that the Islah is the great political force that stood in the face of the coup, and it is also the main barrier to the projects that threat the Yemeni state and national security of Yemen and the Arab, considering that any targeting or detract from this role serves only the coup and the Iranian project.

Al-Audaini pointed out that Islah Party is the only party that issued a statement, in which it supports the Arab Alliance, and that it is the key force in the face of the coup, adding "We always affirm that we are part of the Yemeni legitimacy in the face of the coup and that we should work on the cohesion of this front, including the front within the Arab Alliance, and that any attempt to talk about Islah outside this context is a detraction and an attempt to dismantle the Arab Alliance, which we want it to complete the task of overthrowing the coup and the reconstruction of the Yemeni state."

And about what is being talking about the proximity of Islah to the State of Qatar, the Islahi leader said, "We have never been close to the State of Qatar at all, we are a Yemeni political party and we are part of the legitimacy's system. We derive our legitimacy from the Yemeni will and our presence on the Yemeni street and we do not seek to get the legitimacy form outside these borders."

Al-Audaini explained that there is a lot of information, about Islah Party, considered absent for some people. The Yemeni Islah Party is not a news stands, but it is a strong political party exists on the ground and has masses and a social-political bloc. It is the only party that has faced the coup from its very beginnings. Islah Party was considered the title and main objective for the coup. Islah has paid the cost for its bias of the legitimacy and Arab Alliance, because Islah Party has declared its bias towards the Arab Alliance since the first day based on the main objective that is the restoration of the Yemeni state and preserving Yemeni and Arab security.

Deputy Head of the Information Department confirmed that the Islah Party backed up and still backs up the legitimacy and pays great cost for that. "We are the only ones who have thousands of abductees, displaced and martyrs. There is no one competing us in this matter or detracting from this great role that Islah has offered, whether in its efforts in supporting legitimacy as a political force, and also in its efforts on the ground by calling the masses and Yemeni citizens to join the legitimacy and fronts," he said.

He added: "We are not a military entity, but we are a political force that works to support the legitimacy with all its capabilities and its social and political capital."

Al-Audaini explained that the party talked mainly about the Qatari media support provided to the Houthis, which became clear through some of the channels funded by Qatar. With this action, Qatar is working against the will of the Yemeni people. He hoped that the State of Qatar will stop supporting the coupists and knows that the defeat of the national project in Yemen means also that the Gulf and Arab national security will be affected by that, not just the Yemenis.

"We do not like this role for the brothers in Qatar to stand up against the Yemeni will, especially since the Gulf crisis may end and they will later discover that they were in the wrong position," he said.

Al-Audaini expressed the condemnation of the Islah Party to all forms of support provided to al-Houthi from all sides, whether regional or international. If Qatar provides financial or military support to the coupists, we condemn this support, considering that any party that supports the coupists, it is standing against the Yemeni people, we are against it and we will be its opponents.

Al-Audaini stressed that the compass of the Islah Party is always the interests of the Yemeni people and that this can be achieved only by defeating the coup and the return of the Yemeni state.

"We have identified our main position in that we are against any support given to the coup elements, and that any information we will get, we will declare it in time. We have noted in our Information and Political Departments that there is media support through satellite channels and some news sites, and this support is harmful to our Yemeni cause. We will not accept this support, especially as we are not defending here only our Yemeni cause, but we are in Yemen a barrier to prevent the extension of this project to neighboring countries, including the Gulf States. We hope that our voice will be heard and that the Gulf dispute will not affect our Yemeni cause" he said.

"Let the brothers in the Gulf differ as they wish, but what concerns us is the Yemeni issue, which if it affected by this dispute, we will have to raise our voices," he concluded.
