The chairman of the Supreme Authority the Yemeni Islah Party, Mr. Muhammad bin Abdullah al-Yadumi, met on Wednesday with the Turkish ambassador to Yemen, Levent Eeler.
In the meeting, the two sides discussed the role of Turkey in support of Yemeni legitimacy in all international forums, its stand alongside the Yemeni people, and its rejection of the coup against the legitimate authority in the country.
Al-Yadumi praised Turkey's support for the Yemeni government and people in various fields, stressing that this support reflects the strength of the historical relationship between Yemen and Turkey.
He renewed the firm position of Islah party towards any political process in the country, which should be based on the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference, the Gulf initiative and its executive mechanisms, and international resolutions, foremost of which is the resolution 2216.
He pointed out to the efforts of the Islah party in support of peace in Yemen since the coup against the legitimate authority. The Houthi's militias have given up all agreements between the Yemeni parties and their continued attempts to obstruct any peace efforts.
Al-Yadumi listened to a detailed explanation from the Turkish ambassador and his deputy on the Turkish relief efforts in a number of governorates.
In the meeting, the Turkish ambassador renewed his country's support for the legitimate government, in order to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people, stressing his country's keenness to support the political process in Yemen according to the agreed terms of reference.
