In its statement, the Yemeni Islah Party in Hudaydah Governorate condemned the horrific violations that targeted unarmed civilians in the Directorates of Hays and Bajil in Hudaydah Governorate, which are among the hundreds of brutal massacres committed by the terrorist Houthi militia against the land and the Tihami human being.

The following is the text of the statement as it was received:

- The Yemeni Islah Party in Al-Hodeidah Governorate condemns the horrific violations that targeted unarmed civilians in the districts of Hays and Bajil in Al-Hodeidah Governorate, which are among the hundreds of brutal massacres committed by the terrorist Houthi militia against the land and people of Tihama, where the last of these massacres was the targeting of citizens by the terrorist Houthi militia While they were performing Friday prayers at the Al-Rawn Mosque last Friday, December 2, 2022, in the Hays district, by Iranian-made drones.

The terrorist Houthi bombing resulted in the death and injury of 7 worshipers, including children. Hours after this incident, members of the terrorist Houthi militia began storming the village of Al Obaqa in the Bajil Directorate and looting the lands of the residents by force. This storming was accompanied by the killing of three citizens on their land and in front of their relatives and families, and the wounding 2 others with varying injuries, in addition to terrorizing children and women and kidnapping a number of villagers who went out to defend their rights and their land.

Based on the aforementioned, we in the Yemeni Islah Party in Hudaydah Governorate affirm the following:

-        The Yemeni Islah Party in Al-Hodeidah Governorate condemns the series of brutal crimes committed by the terrorist Houthi militia against the people of Al-Hodeidah Governorate, which varied between acts of killing and looting, in addition to the use of ground and air bombardment, planting mines, and various means of killing and destruction in operations targeting people, land, wealth, and revenues, infrastructures, homes, farms, mosques, service institutions, storming villages, looting citizens' farms and their private and public property.

-        We hold the terrorist Houthi militia fully responsible for these criminal practices that target the lives, property and rights of civilians, as these brutal crimes and violations will not be subject to statute of limitations.

-        We call on all the people of Tihama and its social, tribal and military leaders, as well as all the Tihama components, to unify efforts and ranks, in a way that would liberate Hodeidah from the claws of the terrorist Houthi militia.

-        We stress the importance of the Yemeni government taking a firm position on the ominous Stockholm Agreement, which was taken by the Houthi militia as a cover for the practice of the most heinous violations and the commission of hundreds of massacres that have led to thousands of deaths and injuries since the approval of this Agreement on December 18, 2018, until today, which the militias belittle, rejecting to be inclined to peace and withdrawal from Hodeidah and other provisions of the Agreement.

-        We call on the UN envoy, the UN mission and the international community to assume their moral and humanitarian responsibility and to take action that would stop the Houthi terrorist militia from committing these horrific crimes and consider them war crimes against humanity and their perpetrators as war criminals, because ignoring these massacres by the international community encouraged these militias to challenge the international community And continue to commit more crimes and bloody massacres against the people of Hodeidah on a daily basis.

-        We call on local, regional and international human rights organizations to file lawsuits in local and international courts, in preparation for the trial of all those who committed war crimes against civilians in Hodeidah, foremost of which are the leaders of the Houthi militia, starting from the militia leaders in Sana'a to its leaders in Hodeidah Governorate as war criminals.

-        Mercy for the martyrs, healing for the wounded, and freedom for the captives and the abducted
