Hadhramawt Islah Party calls for finding ways to address the devaluation of the currency, delayed payment of salaries, and inferior services

The Executive office of the Yemeni Islah Party In Hadhramawt Coast held Its regular meeting in the city of Mukalla, Tuesday evening, during which it discussed a number of internal and organizational issues for the Party, taking appropriate decisions in their regard.

  

The attendees discussed the political and economic conditions that our country Is suffering from in general and Hadramawt in particular, and the most recent of these conditions were the efforts of the peace process.

  

The attendees also discussed the suffering of citizens, especially In light of the ongoing and unprecedented collapse of the national currency, the decline In wages, and the delay In disbursing salaries, which no longer meet the most basic requirements of the citizen’s daily life, not to mention the significant rise in the prices of basic food commodities, medicines, and receiving medical treatment in light of the spread of diseases and epidemics.

The Hadhramawt Reform Party called on the Presidential Council and the government to quickly develop real solutions to the suffering of citizens resulting from the devaluation of the national currency and the deterioration of services, especially electricity, health, water scarcity and domestic gas. The governorate is suffering from increasing interruptions In electricity service despite the cold winter, which portends a hot summer in the absence of treatments, in addition to the scarcity of fuel and Its high prices, as the oil derivatives crisis in the governorate has begun to affect people’s lives.

The Hadhramawt Islah Party reiterated its firm and principled stand by citizens’ concerns and aspirations for a dignified life In which justice and the rule of law prevail, because Hadhramawt Is a home of security and peace, and Hadhramawt people have the right to aspire to everything that is achieved them, their children, and for future generations, a model for the rest of Yemen’s Governorates, north and south, east and west, to follow.
