Text of the statement:

Women Department in the Yemeni Islah Party is following with great concern the overwhelming chaos practiced by the Houthi militia, whereas it is permissible to the lives of Yemenis and confiscate their property with the aim of strengthening its priestly project by fire and sword through terrorizing citizens and forcing them to surrender to its outcast racist ideology. In this context, the Women Department condemns in the strongest terms the Houthi group's issuance of the execution decision of activist Fatima al-Arwali through the so-called Specialized Criminal Court of First Instance in the occupied capital, Sana'a, which is a court that lacks jurisdiction. In addition, the primary mission of this court has become limited to issuing politicized execution decisions for those abducted in militia prisons. The invalidity of these show trials and farcical procedures, starting with the conditions of detention, through brutal torture and forced confessions, and ending with depriving the victims of their right to defend themselves, is no secret to anyone, which constitutes a violation of international humanitarian law, international human rights law, and Article 26 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

We, in the Women Department of the Yemeni Islah Party, call on the United Nations and its various bodies, the Human Rights Council, and the Office of the United Nations Special Envoy to Yemen to work hard to stop these farcical political rulings wrapped in illegal judicial character. We hold the Houthi group fully legally responsible for these violations committed against activists, journalists, and politicians who are executed simply for expressing their opinions in one way or another. We call on this militia to immediately stop these arbitrary practices and retaliatory decisions that do not have a statute of limitations, rather, justice will take its course one day and every criminal will receive the punishment stipulated in the applicable laws.
