Muhammad bin Silm, head of the Department of Unions and Organizations in the Executive Office of the Yemeni Islah Party in Al-Mahra Governorate, said that restructuring some government institutions in the governorate is an urgent necessity in order to alleviate the suffering of citizens who suffer from deteriorating basic services.

In a statement he made to the alIslah-ye.net website, Bin Silm stressed the dismissal of the directors of the offices of Electricity, Water, Public Works and the Oil Company, as well as the replacement of the general directors of the Executive Offices who have reached retirement age and their replacement with competent general directors and those with university degrees.

Bin Silm stressed the importance of rationalizing expenditures, curbing corruption, paying attention to services, canceling all advisors, stopping their dues, and disbursing aid only to emergency cases.

He called on the leadership of the local authority to activate the work of the branch of the Central Organization for Control and Accounting, and to go out on the ground periodically to government offices and institutions in order to carry out its supervisory role and address all imbalances.

Bin Silm stressed addressing job duplication in contractual positions and making reforms in the procedures taken at land and sea ports.
