Praise for Allah, Lord of the World, prayer and peace be upon him who is the master of all creation,

The local Shura Council of the Yemeni Islah Party in Hudaydah Governorate held a regular meeting headed by the Deputy Chairman of the Council, Sheikh Yahya Muhammad Munassar.

The meeting began with the National Anthem, recitation of some verses of the Holy Qur’an, then a welcoming speech to the attendees delivered by Sheikh Yahya Muhammad Munssar, Vice Chairman of the Local Shura Council, stressing that the Islah Party is practicing democracy and working to consolidate its Shura approach in looking at the course of action of its institutions and organizational units in consolidating organizational political work in a way that serves the country.

Sheikh Ibrahim Shami, Assistant Secretary-General of the Executive Office, gave a speech on behalf of the Executive Office, in which he confirmed that the Yemeni Islah Party in Hudaydah had set the slogan of challenge and achievement for the year 2023.

Today, we present to you a report on our performance for the year 2023, during which we accomplished many tasks and overcome many different challenges. We also present to you the plan for the year 2024, in which we adopt the slogan of excellence and creativity, and we ask God for help and success in this. And we seek, through the efforts, capabilities, and skills of the members and cadres of the Islah Party, to achieve excellence in performance and achieve all goals to embody this slogan.

After that, the local Shura Council listened to reports of the various Departments of the Executive Office for the year 2023, where the Council thanked the Executive Office for implementing the plans to achieve the goals of that stage. Council members made a number of comments on the reports with the aim of correcting and developing, as well as avoiding shortcomings and correcting paths in a way that enhances the advancement of political and organizational work in the next stage.

The Council also listened to the plan of the Executive Office and its Departments for the year 2024, presented under the slogan “Excellence and Creativity.” Council members made many comments on the plans in a way of achieving greater efforts to improve organizational and political performance in the next stage.

At the conclusion of its meeting, the local Shura Council called on the leadership of the local authority, all civilian and military components, and political forces to strengthen the cohesion and unity of the Republicans in order to move forward in liberating Hudaydah from the grip of the terrorist Houthi militias.

The Council called on all local, regional, and international organizations to condemn the violations committed by the Houthi militias against the people of the Governorate, their continuation of their brutal acts of bombing, planting mines, displacing residents, destroying service institutions, plundering resources and using them in their war effort against the Yemenis, and deceiving the children and youth of Hudaydah and involving them in its absurd wars against Yemen.

The Council called for the importance of everyone assuming their national role in strengthening the cohesion and unification of the Republicans to restore the state and end the Houthi coup that caused the destruction of everything related to decent life in Hudaydah in particular and Yemen in general.

The Council thanked all the residents of the Governorate who played a pioneering role in confronting the Houthi militia, rising up against its practices of plundering salaries and lands, as well as their rejection of levies, plundering, monopolizing jobs, plundering humanitarian aid, and all of its destructive and terrorist crimes.

The Local Shura Council called on the Presidential Leadership Council, the government and the brothers in the Arab coalition led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to quickly end the Houthi coup and liberate Hudaydah in a way that contributes to cutting off the arm of Iran, which is tampering with the security of Yemen and threatening neighboring countries, especially since the Houthi militias have declared their rebellion against all local and regional agreements and international resolutions and went on the path of war and refused to submit to peace.

The Council also condemns the brutal massacres carried out by the Zionist entity against the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank in full view of the international community who should work to end these bloody massacres against children and women, the destruction of homes, the displacement of civilians, the targeting of holy places, and to stop this crazy war being waged against the people of Palestine. The Palestinian people steadfast in the face of occupation.
