Text of the Islah Party’s statement regarding Israeli aggression against Gaza:

The General Secretariat of the Yemeni Islah Party has followed with great pain the continued bleeding of Palestinian blood as a result of the aggression launched by the Zionist entity for nearly two weeks in a row. No matter how much the statement attempts to use rhetoric to describe the catastrophe, this description will seem weak in the presence of blood spilled from defenseless civilians, including women, children, and the elderly, on the land of Palestine in light of a genocidal war to eradicate the Palestinian people in general and the population of the Gaza Strip in particular. In this war of annihilation, the Zionist entity took advantage of the support it received from America and the West to kill Palestinians and forcibly displace them from their homeland in the repetition of the Nakba of 1948 (the catastrophe of 1948) when the Zionist entity displaced nearly seven hundred thousand Palestinians from their homeland, seized their property, and destroyed nearly 600 Palestinian villages. Today, this entity seeks to impose a new displacement project against the residents of Gaza by bombing homes and hospitals, which are considered objects protected by international law. With this behavior, this entity once again shows its barbaric brutality against humanity in the Gaza Strip, in a scene that is a burden far too heavy for mountains to bear of oppression, abuse, siege, ethnic cleansing, and genocide, seeking to break the pride of the resisting Palestinian people after it became apparent to this entity that the normalization project had evaporated as a result of the awakening of the Arab and Islamic peoples, which made this entity carry out criminal strikes that can only be described as (war crimes against humanity), such as the tragedy that shook the global conscience at the Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza on the evening of Tuesday, October 17, 2023, and what followed of crimes, including the bombing of UNRWA schools and many civilian objects.

With regard to these developments, the Yemeni Islah Party affirms what was stated in the statement of the National Alliance of the Political Parties and Forces and condemns in the strongest terms the barbaric war waged by the Zionist entity against the Palestinian people in general and the people of Gaza in particular. It also emphasizes that supporting the Palestinian people in preserving their homeland and building their Palestinian state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital is a principled and firm position that cannot be conceded at all because the Palestinian issue is a central issue for the Arab and Islamic nations.

We also salute the Arab and Islamic countries and their peoples who reject the killing of children and women, the deliberate targeting of civilians, and the destruction of hospitals, places of worship, and citizens’ homes on the heads of their residents, and before that, their rejection of the displacement project in its entirety. We also condemn the stifling siege imposed on the Gaza Strip, cutting off water and electricity, and preventing the entry of medicines and foodstuffs, because this is considered a war crime that has no statute of limitations. It is necessary for the free people of the world to carry out their humanitarian duty in order to stop the Zionist aggression and end the bloodshed and destruction that has befallen the land and people of Gaza because peoples no longer pin their hopes on the United Nations, which failed to issue a resolution leading to stopping the war on Gaza due to the bias of their supporters, armed with the right to veto on the side of the brutal Zionist entity, which is the same thing that prevented the implementation of international resolutions related to the Palestinian issue that guarantees the Palestinian people to live in an independent, sovereign state like other free peoples.

In this regard, we salute the legendary and heroic steadfastness of the resistant Palestinian people who confront Zionist arrogance equipped with deadly Western weapons. In this regard, we proceed from our belief that Gaza, through the steadfastness of its resisting men, is on the defensive position to the Arab nation in general, and the land of Palestine - the land of the Night Journey and the Ascension into Heavens - in particular, and everyone must rally around it and support it in various ways and means.

We appeal to the peoples of the world to stand seriously by the Palestinian people and their choices to restore their Palestinian homeland and its capital, Jerusalem, to condemn all crimes committed by the Zionist entity, and to prevent the forced displacement of the population out of Gaza. We also call for the opening of the crossings for the entry of water, food, and medicine, and for the restoration of electrical power to operate hospitals and restore life to the Gaza Strip.
