Al-Audayni: Lying and forgery are not bizarre for a gang that abducts a civilian and hides him for eight years

The deputy head of the Information and Culture Department of the Yemeni Islah Party, Adnan al-Audayni, said that the gang that abducted a civilian from his home and hid him for 8 years without allowing him even to contact his family let alone visit him, therefore lying and forgery practiced by it is not bizarre.

This is what al-Audayni posted on his Twitter account today, Saturday, commenting on the lies and forgery reported by the official in charge of the prisoner file in the Houthi militia regarding Mr. Muhammad Qahtan, who has been abducted by the Houthi militia since April 2015, where the Houthi militia refuses to release him or even allow his family to visit him.

Earlier, Majed Fadhayil, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Human Rights, a member of the government team in the Committee of Prisoners, Abductees, and the Forcibly Disappeared, made a clarification - on his Twitter account - about the Houthis' lies about the continued disappearance of the struggler political leader, Muhammad Qahtan.

Fadhayil stressed that although the government committee negotiating the file of prisoners and abductees raised the issue of Mr. Muhammad Qahtan on the table of the prisoner exchange, like other detainees and prisoners, but rather the Houthi militia is intransigent from the first moment regarding Qahtan in particular and refuses to deal with that.

He made it clear that the stage of releasing the abductees went through several stages during the negotiation, including each that each party provide information on the situation of the prisoners and abductees and inform the Office of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross, stressing that the Houthi militia still refuses to talk about Qahtan, as well as its acceptance of negotiation. about it as you falsely claim.

Fadhayil considered that using evasive methods in statements and dealing with a humanitarian issue in this way is immoral.

He said that the government team constantly announces that it is fully prepared to exchange Qahtan and Faisal Rajab for Houthi prisoners immediately and without any delay, as well as all the remaining detainees on the basis that is clearly announced, according to the principle of "all for all".
