Jawf's Islah Shura Council holds an extraordinary session and elects a new leadership

Today, Monday, the local Shura Council of the Yemeni Islah Party in Al-Jawf Governorate held an extraordinary meeting headed by Sheikh al-Hassan bin Ali Abkar and his deputy, Sheikh Sinan bin Abdullah al-Iraqi, as well as Mr. Saleh Askar, Secretary-General.

The chairman of the local Shura Council welcomed the members present at the extraordinary session, and then the event started with reading Al-Fatiha for the souls of those who were martyred in the battle to restore the state and confront the coup. The chairman of the Council praised the heroism of the people of the Governorate and the members and leaders of the Islah Party they made sacrifices in the national battle and the support of the state in confronting the Houthi militia from an early age.

Abkar said that the Al-Hazm Storm came out of the sense of the Houthi threat to the security of the region and in response to the call of the political leadership. He emphasized that we and our neighbors are in one trench until this gang is gone. At the same time, he called for uniting the ranks, and the word, and sacrificing all that is precious in order to liberate Al-Jawf Governorate, which will be an introduction to the liberation of the capital, Sanaa. He also called on the government and the Arab Alliance led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to provide all forms of support to achieve this goal.

The local Shura Council of the Islah Party in Al-Jawf Governorate reviewed the agenda and then approved it. The council also listened to a report on the performance of the Executive Office of the Yemeni Islah Party in the Governorate during the last period. The report was read by the Secretary-General of the Executive Office, Mr. Saeed Ayyash, and the resignation of the members of the Executive Office was presented to the local Shura Council, with justifications of the resignation.

After that, the chairman of the Shura Council cleared the way for candidacy and electing a new leadership for the Executive Office. After that, Dr. Muhammad Saleh Mohsen was chosen unanimously as head of the new executive office, as well as Saeed Muhammad Ayyash as Secretary-General of the office and Saleh Yahya al-Farji as Assistant Secretary-General.

In turn, the elected leadership of the new Executive Office submitted the formation of the Departments for approval by the local Shura Council.

The convening of the extraordinary session concluded with reading the final statement, which praised the positive and effective role of all members of the Islah Party in confronting the Houthi coup project, calling on the members of the Islah Party to adhere to principles and values and to strengthen relations with all forces and members of society.

The statement appreciated the struggle role of Islahi women and recommended expanding works and activities aimed at advancing women in Al-Jawf and highlighting their political and cultural status.

The closing statement saluted the heroic and struggle role played by the sons of the Armed Forces, the security forces, the popular resistance, and the tribes of the Governorate, calling for giving them more attention and commitment to full care for the wounded and martyrs' families.

In its closing statement, the local Shura Council in Al-Jawf called on the local authority to meet the basic needs of all the people of the Governorate, to make efforts to alleviate the suffering of the displaced, and to take care of education to confront the militia's policy of spreading ignorance and distorting the curricula. He also called for monitoring the Governorate's share of scholarships and cultural exchange seats.

The Shura Council called on all the people of the Governorate not to be dragged behind the Houthi terrorist plans that aim to tear the social fabric in Al-Jawf Governorate, change the national, religious and cultural identity, insult the tribe, and erase its customs.

Likewise, the Shura Council of the Islah Party of Al-Jawf Governorate called on the government to take quick and urgent measures to reform the economic situation, stop the deterioration of the national currency, improve basic services, develop infrastructure, develop resources and rationalize spending.
