At the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the GCC in Riyadh, the National Alliance of Political Parties and Components supporting legitimacy, headed by Mr. Abdul Razzaq al-Hijri, Chairman of the Alliance, met today, Monday, with His Excellency Ambassador Sarhan bin Cruz bin Munaykhir, Ambassador of the Secretariat General of the Cooperation Council of the Arab States of the Gulf to Yemen.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the latest developments and trends in the local situation, developments in events in the Red Sea, and the efforts of the Cooperation Council in support of Yemen and its political leadership represented by the Presidential Leadership Council. The two sides stressed the need to evaluate what was accomplished and implemented of the outcomes of the Riyadh consultations held under the auspices of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, stressing the need to move forward to mobilize national energies in implementing the rest of the outcomes and national alignment in support of unity of ranks and a single national position in the face of the risks and challenges they have caused. Al-Hijri expressed his thanks to the coalition of Gulf Cooperation Council countries and the coalition to support legitimacy led by the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their steadfast and continuous support for the leadership and people of Yemen, which the Yemenis and their political components will not forget and which history will immortalize as a brotherly position of championing truth and justice, as well as their concern for Yemen and its position among its brothers and its Arab surroundings.

Al-Hijri stressed the National Alliance’s firm position on the necessity of victory for the Yemeni cause in restoring the state, ending the coup, preserving Yemen’s sovereignty, the integrity of its lands and territorial waters, and protecting the Yemeni islands and ports.

He referred to the positions of all national political forces in support of the just Palestinian cause and condemning the crimes of the Zionist entity, represented in practicing genocide against the Palestinian people and its attempts to liquidate the cause. He denounced what the Houthi militia is doing to use the justice of the Palestinian cause for propaganda purposes and to achieve the Iranian regime’s expansionist ambitions, which destabilize regional and international security.

For his part, His Excellency Ambassador Sarhan al-Munaykhir, Ambassador of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries to Yemen, stressed the firm and supportive position of the GCC countries alongside the Presidential Leadership Council, the Yemeni government, and its supporting components until the desired peace is achieved and the state institutions are restored, as well as Yemen moving forward towards achieving security, stability and prosperity.
