The local authority in the governorate of Hajjah announced that the Directorate of Kushar is a disaster area, because of the brutal crimes carried out by the pro-Iran Houthi militia against the people of the Directorate.

In a statement received by the Yemeni news agency Saba, it explained that it is following the successive events witnessed by the Directorate of Kushar and the brutal crimes practiced by the Houthi militia against the people of the Directorate represented in the military invasion of the villages and markets in addition to the burning and demolition of houses of citizens over the heads of its inhabitants, murder of the leadership of the Directorate, the displacement of thousands, the abduction of dozens of citizens and the imposition of an unjust blockade that prevents food and medicine to the people.

The statement called on all international humanitarian organizations to carry out their humanitarian responsibilities and called on the international community to immediately intervene to stop the brutal massacres carried out by the rebel Houthi militias against the people of the Kushar Directorate. The statement also demanded the political leadership and the government to carry out their responsibilities towards the catastrophic situation imposed by the militia on the people of this Directorate who are threatened with death and genocide.

The statement also called on all the people of the governorate to consolidate the ranks, unite the word, forget the differences and mobilize all the possibilities to face the one enemy, which targets all people, which represented in the pro-Iran Houthi militias. The statement stressed that the local authority is continuously communicating with the heroes in the field and also communicating with all concerned parties in the country and the brothers in the command of the joint forces.

In its statement, the local authority expressed its pride in the heroism of the heroes of the tribes of Hajour in the Directorate of Kushar, and also boasts of their unrivaled steadfastness and sacrifice. Stressing that the sons of Hajuor made a historical epic that will be taught to generations and this epic will be recorded by letters of light in the whitest pages of history.

The local authority condemned the silence practiced by all international humanitarian organizations, led by the United Nations and its representatives in Yemen and the UN envoy to Yemen, who did not act to stop the war crimes that are practiced every day in light of the media blackout and disconnecting from the Directorate.

At the end of its statement, the local authority praised the support provided by the brothers in the Arab alliance countries led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and called for mercy on the souls of the martyrs, and the speedy recovery of the wounded and the freedom of the abducted and the forcibly hidden.
