The Deputy Head of the Information and Culture Department of the Yemeni Islah Party, Mr. Adnan al-Audaini, said "The political solution based on the three references is the way to achieve peace in Yemen,"

On behalf of the Secretary-General of the Yemeni Islah Party, Mr. Abdulwahab Al-Anisi, al-Audaini participated in the meeting called by the UN envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths in Riyadh on Tuesday to discuss the latest developments in Yemen with political parties.

Al-Audaini pointed out that the coup against the state and the control on its institutions by the Houthi militia is the main cause of the war and the deteriorating situation of people. So, the solution requires ending the causes of the war by ending the coup and restoring the state and its institutions.

Al-Audaini stressed that the handover of the militias' arms is a necessity to end the war and the coup, pointing to the importance of the international community's standing with Yemeni legitimacy to extend its control over all the Yemeni territories.

Al-Audaini pointed to the importance of the role of the United Nations in ending the coup and handing over the arms of the militias to the state to block extremist groups in tampering with security, stability and shedding the blood of innocent people, pointing to the importance of ending suffering of the abductees in the prisons of militias.

Al-Audaini called for exposing the party obstructing the implementation of the agreement of Sweden to the public opinion and taking the necessary measures against the disregard of the Houthi militias and their disavowal from implementing what was agreed upon.

While the leaders of political parties affirmed, during the meeting, that the three references are the pillars of the political solution in Yemen.

The leaders of the parties unanimously agreed that ending the coup is an irreversible option, whether through a political or military solution that gives a formal conferment the legitimate authority to restore the State, extend its control and disarm the militias.

International Envoy Martin Griffith stressed that the United Nations is keen to abide by resolution 2216, the restoration of the State in Yemen and the unity, security and stability of the country.
