The Yemeni Islah Party in Aden reveals 12 violations it suffered during 2018

The year 2018 is considered a deem black year for the Yemeni Islah Party in the interim capital of Aden, where it suffered heavy losses represented in losing number of its leaders, activists and headquarters.
In a statistical report, the Information and Culture Department of the Yemeni Islah Party in Aden said that the party was subjected to 12 violations during the year 2018, where the assassinations targeting the leaders and activists of the Islah Party in the interim capital of Aden were 9 assassinations, 2 cases of arrest and forcibly disappearance and 2 cases of burning and closing headquarters.
According to the Information Department, violations that took place during 2018 were as follows:
1. Continued closure and storming of the headquarters of the Islah Party in the city of Qalouaa and the city of Crater (the storming began October 2017).
2. The abduction and disappearance of the Islahi leader and member of the Local Council ,Zakaria Ahmed Qassim, by the forces of the Aden Security Administration and the continued disappearance of him until today (January 27, 2018).
3. The assassination of a member of the Executive Office of the Islah Party and a member of the Local Council Shawqi Kamadi by gunmen riding a motorcycle in front of his work place in the Directorate of Al-Mu'alla (February 13, 2018).
4. The security forces of Aden arrested the Islahi leader Sheikh Nidhal Bahuwiarith in front al-Dhahibi mosque in the city of Crater and hide him for four months without any charge (March 28, 2018).
5. The assassination of the Islahi leader and human rights activist Safwan al-Sharjabi by gunmen in front of his home in Al-Mu'alla, and the martyr al-Sharjabi was the head of the Legal Department at the October 14, Institution for Press and Publication (May 9, 2018).
6. The attempt of assassinating the Islahi leader Sadiq Ahmed and his personal guard in the city of al-Qallu'ah by gunmen riding in a car (TOYOTA COROLLA) and a bus (TOYOTA HIACE) (July 17, 2018).
7. A failed assassination attempt targeting Dr. Aref Ahmed Ali, a member of the Shura Council of the Yemeni Islah Party in Aden and the Secretary of the Medical Syndicate by explosive device that was planted under his car, resulting in serious injury to his son, who is still being treated outside the country (July 31, 2018).
8. The attempt of assassinating the head of the Legal Office and the member of the Executive Office of the Yemeni Islah Party in Aden, lawyer Arafat Hizam by an explosive device planted in his car (August 8, 2018).
9. The attempt of assassinating the 31-year-old Marwan al-Ra'i by planting an explosive device under the driver's seat in his own vehicle (September 9, 2018).
10. Unknown gunmen assassinate Ali Muhammad al-Da'usi, an Islahi activist in al-Mansoura, a leader of the resistance in front of his house in the Enma' neighborhood of Mansoura district in the capital Aden (September 18, 2018).
11. The attempt of assassinating the teacher and a member of the former Executive Office in the Islah Party of Aden Debwan Ghaleb in the city of Mu'alla by planting an explosive device under the seat of his car (September 20, 2018).
12. The abduction and killing of the Islahi leader Muhammad Abdullah Shujaina, director of the Charitable Society for Social Welfare (CSSW) in Aden, by armed men in military uniform, where they abducted him from the highway and executed him (October 2, 2018).
In the past three years, the interim capital of Aden has witnessed a systematic campaign of assassinations targeting political leaders, religious figures and former resistance leaders, and most of these assassinations targeted the reform party.
