Muhammad Al-Yadumi, Chairman of the Supreme Authority of the Yemen Islah Party, received the U.S. Ambassador to our country, Steven H. Fagin, on Thursday.

The visit of the Ambassador came to check on the health of Mr. al-Yadumi, who underwent a successful operation in a hospital in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, last week.

The U.S. Ambassador wished a speedy recovery to the Chairman of the Supreme Authority of the Islah Party.

Al-Yadumi expressed his gratitude for Ambassador Fagin's keenness to check on his health condition after he underwent a successful surgery, and wished him continued health and happiness.

He appreciated the position of the United States in support of the legitimacy, the unity of Yemen, its sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

During the visit, the two sides discussed a number of issues and developments in the Yemeni arena, especially those related to efforts to establish peace, which contradict the intransigence and disavowal of the Houthi militia, as well as its continuation in committing crimes and violations.

Likewise, the two sides discussed ways to assist the government in fulfilling its obligations, providing services, and addressing the deteriorating economic conditions that citizens suffer from.

The meeting was attended by the Secretary-General of the Yemeni Islah Party, Mr. Abdul Wahhab al-Ansi, as well as members of the Supreme Authority, Mr. Ahmed al-Qumairi, and MP Abdul-Razzaq al-Hijri, head of the Islah Parliamentary Bloc.
