The deputy head of the Information and Culture Department of the Yemeni Islah Party, Adnan al-Audayni, verified today, Friday, that any consultations regarding the abducted have no value unless they succeed first with regard to the release of Mr. Muhammad Qahtan, a member of the Supreme Authority of the Islah Party, who was abducted and forcibly hidden in militia prisons for further than 8 years.

In a tweet on his official Twitter account, al-Audayni said that "any meetings that may be held regarding the abductees have no value if they do not succeed first regarding the case of Mr. Muhammad Qahtan, the politician who was abducted from his home and forcibly disappeared for more than 8 years."

He continued, "The family and fans of Qahtan urgently deserve this, as it is with the rest of the heroic abductees and their families."

Majed Fadhayil, a spokesman for the government team, says he hopes that the round of consultations will succeed in releasing all prisoners and abductees according to the rule (all for all), first and foremost Mr. Muhammad Qahtan.

The head of the negotiator government delegation, Yahya Kazman, verified on Thursday that the round of consultations that will be held in Amman "in order to reveal the fate of all the disappeared, first and foremost the politician Muhammad Qahtan and the rest of the detainees and forcibly disappeared by the Houthi militia."

Since Mr. Muhammad Qahtan was abducted from his home in Sana'a on April 4, 2015, the Houthis have not allowed him to be visited or communicated with him, and no information has been available about his condition except for a memorandum issued by the Public Prosecutor Abdullah Al-Kumaym, who had sent it to the deputy of the group's Political Security Service in February 2019, that the decision to release Qahtan be implemented.

Despite the release of Qahtan's three comrades (al-Subaihi, Hadi, Rajab) covered by UN Resolution 2216, in the recent exchange deal, the militia continues to remain silent and prohibits talking about
