Muhammad Ahmed Ba Latif, the head of the Political Department of the Yemeni Islah Party in Hadramawt As-Sahel, said that the Islah Party is a broad umbrella that carries the entire national project and takes care of all Yemenis without exception in light of the diaspora, which they suffer from today.

In a statement he made to alislah-ye.net news website, he added that the Islah Party is a great phenomenon that has left its imprint on the front of contemporary Yemeni history and will remain a book that will be studied by future generations whenever necessary.

He pointed out that there are few people who would argue that the Islah Party has enriched the political process and societal movements in various fields. The Islah Party is the entire nation’s Party, and it is morally and sensuously present in all parts of the country. The Islah Party has worked to bring about effective things and contributed to changing many facts and perceptions according to what the Party believes is good for the country and the citizen.

Ba Latif said that the Islah Party is the party that has left indelible imprints over the decades since its public establishment about 32 years ago, and before that it was still latent in the depths of the Yemeni heart as a rooted comprehensive reform movement and as national and religious longings that fill hearts and minds.

He continued: “My message to the leadership and members of the Yemeni Islah Party today is that they should be aware that fate has entrusted them with the fate of a homeland that has been let down by many and who have abandoned their duty towards it." Therefore, every Islahi must abandon previous perceptions regarding the political party program, which is presented as a project that represents a limited number of the people of the country in frantic competition with the rest of the parties. Likewise, the Islah Party today and its leaders and members should be a broad umbrella that carries the entire national project and takes care of all Yemenis without exception in light of the diaspora, which they suffer from today.
