Adnan al-Audayni, Deputy Head of the Department of Information and Culture and the official spokesman for the Yemeni Islah Party, said that the Islah Party has been calling for dialogue and peace from the beginning, and it believes in the importance of dialogue and that there is no solution to problems other than it.

In an interview he conducted with the “al-fanous.net” platform website about (the vision of the leaders of the Yemeni political parties and components on dialogue, the foundations, opportunities, and challenges), al-Audayni made it clear that the Islah Party is the most of the Yemeni political parties that have faced existential challenges to establish dialogue as a means of reaching understandings and politics as a means of resolving the conflict over authority.

He stressed that Al-Houthi, who led the country to war and destruction, was the same one who closed all doors to rational options, adding, "We all know that the Houthi completed his participation in the dialogue and then moved towards waging war against everyone."

Regarding the foundations on which dialogue can be built, al-Audayni stressed that the three references must be a general framework for dialogue, and also there are foundations on which dialogue must be based as a condition for reaching a solution that establishes lasting peace.

The spokesman for the Yemeni Islah Party explained that this path will only be achieved by ensuring the return of the state with its full strategic structure, sovereign functions, and presence on all Yemeni lands, adding, “And I believe that everyone agrees with this vision.”

Al-Audaini pointed out that there are many opportunities for the success of the dialogue, but he stressed that the most important condition for the dialogue in itself to be an opportunity to stop the bloodshed in Yemen is for the Houthis to stop attacking the people as an expression of good faith.

The speaker stressed that the opportunity for dialogue had existed from the beginning, which was the position and desire of all local forces since the beginning of the war, but it collided with the insistence of the Houthis as a coup party in continuing the war.

The Islah Party spokesman considered that the challenge lies in the Houthis dealing with this opportunity now available for agreement as a temporary tactic, pointing to previous experiences with the Houthis, which make it very difficult to be optimistic about their acceptance of a solution that will end the suffering of the Yemenis.
