Political parties and organizations in Marib Governorate called on the Presidential Leadership Council and the government to create a kind of economic balance in a way that is proportionate to what citizens suffer from the high cost of living and high prices.

In a statement issued at their meeting on Friday, these political parties and organizations stressed the importance of reviewing the wages and salaries of the military and civil sectors and working to raise salaries and wages in a way that is compatible with the economic situation that the country is experiencing in general and the Governorate in particular.

She called on citizens to exercise self-control and be patient, as well as not to close roads and cause riots, and to stay away from anything that disturbs public peace or disturbs security in the Governorate.

The Marib parties call on all social figures, sheikhs, notables, and people of sound opinion, call for a positive understanding with the local authority and the state leadership in the Governorate, and to maintain the unity of the ranks of the resistance, and prevent the enemy from exploiting any opportunity.

She stressed that the people of the Governorate have the right to obtain their right to job promotions, obtain appropriate opportunities in the diplomatic corps and high leadership positions in the civil and military sectors, and provide scholarships for the people of the Governorate so that they can continue their higher studies and give them the opportunities they deserve.

They explained that the political parties and organizations in the Governorate are making tremendous efforts to achieve social peace.

They called on the Oil Corporation to provide sufficient oil derivatives for the Governorate, limit the black market, and prosecute manipulators.

These parties and organizations stressed that Marib deserves to adopt a special budget worthy of its status and in a way that meets its requirements and the aspirations of its people, starting in 2024, and in a way that is commensurate with the burden borne by the Governorate. It also has the right to obtain its full share of oil revenues and other oil derivatives.

They stressed that the government should work to raise and rehabilitate the level of the health sector in the Governorate administratively, healthily, and financially, as well as build hospitals specialized in treating diseases resulting from the process of extracting oil and its derivatives to confront the serious health damage resulting from that process, which the people of the Governorate suffer from.

The parties called on media professionals, activists and decision-makers to consider the best interest of the nation as the highest issue, to urge unification, and to cooperate with the state in the interest of everyone.

Parties and organizations expressed their regret over the events that accompanied the government’s decision to set the prices of oil derivatives and the resulting societal repercussions that raised the level of anger, leading to riots, blocking roads, and clashes with security services, in addition to the accompanying media campaigns - in good or bad faith - which worked to inflame the situation, which led to the creation of negative effects that would create a rift between the members of the one front.

They considered that what happened comes at a time when everyone is making great efforts to strengthen the strength of the one front against everybody's enemy who lurks in the governorate and who exploits such events to achieve his goals from the Marib Governorate, which was and will remain difficult for the coup militias to reach.
