The Houthis' claims of bombing Israel are pure slander, deception, and an escape from internal crises

During the past few days, the Houthi militia announced several times that it bombed Israeli military targets in occupied Palestine with missiles and drones under the pretext that this was to succor the Gaza Strip, without clarifying what targets it attacked or what the size of the losses suffered by the Zionist occupation as a result of that. The attacks are an exposed attempt to escape from its internal crises and harmony with the Iranian position by claiming false heroism, especially since it does not possess missiles or drones with a range of two thousand kilometers or more to reach the heart of the occupied Palestinian territories.

For Iran and its militias in the region, foremost of which is the Houthi militia in Yemen, the tragedy of the Gaza Strip is a difficult test. After years of trading in the Palestinian cause and slogans of “Death to America and Death to Israel,” Iran and its militias failed the first practical test of supporting the Palestinian cause, even though standing by the Palestinians militarily at this stage would primarily serve Iran and its militias.

- Lying to everyone:

The evidence that confirms the lies of the Houthi militia regarding the allegations of bombing Israel is that Israel did not respond practically against this militia, especially since it is known that the Zionist entity does not tolerate any attacks targeting its army or its settlements in occupied Palestine. Therefore, if we assumed that the Houthi militia actually attacked Israel, Israel would have responded to the source of the attack forcefully and brutally, as it does to those it is fighting in Gaza.

However, the lack of a reaction means that there is no action in the first place. Even if Israel stated that it intercepted a threat that came from the direction of the Red Sea, or Washington’s statements that an American destroyer in the Red Sea intercepted missiles and drones launched by the Houthi militia, these statements are dubious as well. Perhaps the intent of these statements is to create a justification for America and Israel to send more destroyers and warships to the southern Red Sea under the pretext of confronting the Houthi threats.

As for the Houthi militia’s threats to launch attacks on the sites of the Zionist entity, they are consistent with the threats made by Iran after the arrival of the American aircraft carrier in the region under the pretext of protecting Israel, while Iran believes that it is targeted by the arms build-up in the region, so it was quick to threaten with what it called the “penta-response” for any attack, it may be exposed to, in reference to the response of its affiliated militias in a number of Arab countries.

Iran wanted to send messages to the United States and Israel in the context of what it described as a “penta-response” in the event that it was subjected to any attack, and at the same time “exonerate itself” regarding the Palestinian issue, so it issued orders to its militias in the region to launch limited and controlled attacks against American military bases in the region. Indeed, the Iranian militia attacked the Ain al-Asad Base in Iraq and the Al-Tanf Base in Syria. Perhaps the Houthis were required to attack American destroyers in the southern Red Sea because they are close to Yemen, but the Houthi militia went so far as to announce its bombing of Israel.

Thus, the Houthi militia has achieved several goals by claiming to attack Israel, including that it will escape from its internal problems and climb on the shoulders of the Palestinian cause to polish its image among the deceived general public, in addition to trying to exonerate itself after it has been raising the slogan “Death to America Death to Israel” for years,” and worked to outbid the Palestinian issue and turned it into material for political and media trading, just as Iran does, in addition to exploiting that issue to further enrich the militia leaders by collecting donations under the pretext of supporting the Gaza Strip, but these donations will go to the benefit of the militia leaders.

- Useless attacks:

If we assume that the Houthi militia actually attacked the army of the Zionist entity in occupied Palestine, then these attacks are useless and do not even amount to causing a media sensation because the Houthi missiles and drones have a short range and therefore they will fall automatically into the Red Sea. If this militia possesses modern weapons capable of reaching occupied Palestine, Israeli air defenses will intercept it in the air and destroy it before it reaches its goals. In any case, the Houthi attacks will remain futile.

This matter was confirmed by the American magazine “Responsible Statecraft,” which ruled out any impact of the Houthi air attacks on the Zionist entity, noting that they might provoke retaliatory strikes by Washington and its allies. The magazine indicated that the Houthis' goal in the attacks in the first place was to escape from their fears, internal problems, economic crisis, and non-payment of salaries to employees in areas under their control.

- Why do the Houthis not bomb Israeli targets close to Yemen?

If the Houthi militia is sincere in its support of the Palestinian cause and actually intends to launch an attack on Israeli or American targets, then it would be better for it to attack the warships that Israel deployed in the southern Red Sea after the Houthi militia’s threat to bomb Israel because the Houthi missiles and drones will reach those nearby targets, instead of bombing Israeli army positions in the occupied Palestinian territories, which the Houthi weapons do not reach.

The Israeli occupation had deployed warships in the Red Sea region following allegations of missile and drone attacks towards the occupied Palestinian territories claimed by the Houthi militia. The Israeli occupation claimed that these developments come based on an assessment of the situation and within the framework of strengthening defense efforts in the region.

- Iran and its militias evasion:

Despite Iran's and its militias boasting, which are part of the so-called "Axis of Resistance" and the slogans of "Death to America and Death to Israel," it is trying to evade and exempt itself from any direct confrontation with the Zionist entity. If the Axis of Resistance was sincere, the moment for practical testing had come, but what happened was that Iran denied Western countries’ accusations of supporting the Palestinian cause, while its militias in Iraq and Syria were content with launching limited and ineffective attacks on the Ain al-Assad base in Iraq and the al-Tanf base in Syria. Likewise, the Lebanese (Iranian) Hezbollah was content with launching limited and controlled attacks on Israeli sites in northern occupied Palestine, while the Houthi militia was content with threats and false allegations about its bombing of Israeli occupation sites.

By tracking Iran's official positions on the Zionist war against the Gaza Strip in Palestine, we notice that they are appeasement positions and confirm Iran's unwillingness to go to war and also the unwillingness of its sectarian militias in the region to participate in the war alongside the Palestinian Resistance. This means that the so-called "Axis of Resistance" does not see the Palestinian issue as one of his priorities because the priority for every sectarian faction affiliated with Iran is to sabotage and weaken his country in the service of Iran.

In this context, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said that Iran does not seek to expand the war, but he refused to confirm that Iran would not participate in a broader regional fight, and stressed in return that the United States should seek to stop the war if it does not want to breadth.

Abdullahian denied Tehran's responsibility for the Hamas attack last October 7. He also denied that Tehran was the main provider of the arsenal of Hezbollah, Hamas, and Islamic Jihad, and said that these groups have been manufacturing their own weapons for years. He warned that linking Iran to any attack in the region against American interests without providing evidence is completely wrong, denying any interference in the decisions of resistance groups that take their decisions in proportion to interests and developments.

- The Palestinian resistance’s dissatisfaction with the Iranian axis’ letting down:

There is widespread dissatisfaction among the Palestinian people and the Palestinian Resistance Factions regarding the letting down to which the residents of the Gaza Strip were subjected by the so-called “Axis of Resistance,” and they are being subjected to genocide as a result of the brutal bombing of the Zionist entity after the “Axis of Resistance,” led by Iran, continued to threaten to expel the Zionist entity from the land. Palestine and making the Palestinian issue a means for political gains and bidding for it.

In this context, Musa Abu Marzouk, a member of the Hamas political bureau, said, "We were expecting a lot from Hezbollah and from our brothers in the West Bank, but we are astonished by the shameful position of our brothers in the Palestinian Authority."

In his answer to a question about what the Hamas movement expects from Hezbollah, he said, “We rely on ourselves and call on all friends to participate us in this confrontation, but we cannot stand as judges when we are in a war against a fierce, mighty, arrogant, and terrorist enemy in every sense of the word,” then we judge others."

During the past weeks, it is certain that the leaders of the Palestinian resistance factions were waiting for actual participation by the Lebanese Hezbollah in the clashes with Israel to relieve the pressure on them, but it seems that the party was satisfied with clear controls in the clash, which are based on recording the position and self-exonerate at the time when Hamas was waiting for the party to enter with all its strength into the confrontation and activate the idea of “unity of fronts” or “multiple arenas” that the party and its Secretary-General, Hassan Nasrallah, have long been talking about.

Likewise, Iran also did not give its orders to Hezbollah and other of its militias to launch an attack on Israel. Perhaps this is due to the fact that the party has a larger agenda linked to Iran, which determines its steps to act or not, and sets a ceiling for its activities. It does not seem that Iran and its militias want to interfere in any way in the current escalation in the Gaza Strip because they want to preserve their power in order to use it in internal conflicts. As for the Palestinian issue, the position on it is nothing but for political gains.
