An official source in the Yemeni Islah party stressed that it is unacceptable for the Houthi militia to continue covering up the fate of the prominent politician, Muhammad Qahtan, without sufficient pressure being exerted by the intermediary as a natural right.
In a statement he made to the "www.alislah-ye.net" website, the source added that the Islah Party was and still is keen from the outset to end the suffering of all the abductees and offered concessions and facilities in order to do so. Thus, the mediator must work to end the suffering of the family of Mr. Muhammad Qahtan, as being the oldest political abducted.
The source renewed salutations to Mr. Qahtan as a national political symbol and political figure that will remain present in the conscience of every Yemeni and Islahi, as well as a symbol of struggle and resistance to the priesthood and militia terrorism, pointing out that the negotiating delegation must make sufficient efforts to achieve this.
Likewise, the source stressed the importance of releasing all the kidnapped journalists, starting with the citizens who were abducted by the militia from their homes and workplaces, as well as those who were included in the UN resolution, foremost of whom are Muhammad Qahtan, Mahmoud al-Subayhi, Nasser Hadi, Faisal Rajab, Affash Tariq and Muhammad Muhammad Saleh and others whom the militias continue to detain from the moment the coup against the state was carried out.
