Dhamar province in central Yemen has recently experienced a growing phenomenon of child abduction due to the deteriorating security situation in the city of Dhamar under the control of Houthis-Saleh militias, according to human rights sources. Almadaronline quoted the source as saying that two children were kidnapped on Monday while they were walking on a street near their home, and that their fate was still unknown. Based on other sources, the two children’s father runs a small restaurant in Rad’a street in the city. In a related context, a clinic in the city has also received an eleven-year-old teenager with signals of punches on his face and body as a result of a failed kidnapping attempt by a motorcyclist, another source added.
