The head of the Information and Culture Department of the Yemeni Islah Party, Mr. Ali al-Jaradi, described the Ma’rib Governorate as the castle of the Republic and the impenetrable barrier in the face of the militias of death and destruction.

In a tweet he posted on his Twitter account, al-Jaradi said, "On the day of the seizure of the capital, Sanaa, by the Houthi coup militia, Marib with all its tribes, men, women and parties decided to confront the coup unilaterally and established Marib councils, then these councils turned into a destination for liberals and place of hearts from all Directorates."

Al-Jaradi’s tweet came in conjunction with the eighth anniversary of the establishment and launch of the Nakhla councils, north of Marib, to confront the terrorist Houthi coup militia, which at that time was engaged in violent confrontations in Sana’a to overthrow the state and the seizure of its institutions.

Nakhla councils in Marib is a well-known name among the tribes, as it is established when the tribe senses a certain danger or challenge facing it. These councils were formed on September 18, 2014, a few days after the coup carried out by the Houthi militia.
