The deputy head of the Information and Culture Department of the Yemeni Islah Party, Adnan al-Audayni, described Taiz Governorate as the town where street voices are present in intensity.

In his post, which he published today, Wednesday, on his Facebook account, he stressed that this city, in which the voice of the street is present, politics never die in, and that freedom flourishes in it, even if it is surrounded by siege.

Al-Audayni’s speech coincides with the large crowds that witnessed in the city of Taiz today, denouncing the continuation of the siege imposed on the city by the Houthi militia for the eighth year in a row, and the demand of the United Nations and its special envoy to Yemen to pressure the militia to lift the siege and open roads to implement the terms of the UN armistice.

He made it clear that the street got weaker throughout the country after it was silenced by the war and the cannons, but the voice of the street continued to flow in Taiz from the beginning until this moment.

Addressing Taiz, he said: O city that gives us joys and pains.. Peace be upon you, you did not stop and did not bow your head. Peace be upon you, Taiz.
