“This year, the anniversary of May 22nd unity comes with a special and different impact compared to the years after the coup in 2014," deputy head of the media department of the Yemeni Islah Party, Adnan al-Audayni said.

On the occasion of the 32nd National Day of the Republic of Yemen, May 22, “This time, the anniversary comes after national political events aimed at uniting the republican national rank resisting the coup as a necessary remedy for the inequalities that were reflected in the overall performance, particularly the battle to restore the Yemeni state,” he added.

He pointed out that this year's anniversary comes at a time when Aden - which witnessed the moment of the declaration of unity - regains its national role once again as an incubator for the liberation of Yemen as a whole.

He made it clear that "The city of Aden deserves to be met with fulfillment, not with marginalizing, and with support, not with letting down, to the extent that enables it to be a gathering capital for the national effort and a center for confronting the Houthi militias."

He stressed that the unitary awareness - learned from the integrative struggles of the fighters of September and October - is the main lever that enabled Yemenis to overcome their weakness and victory over the Imamate and colonialism, and this is what our people need today.

On behalf of the Yemeni Islah Party, al-Audayni congratulated the masses of the people on the anniversary of their great meeting.

He called on all political forces to transcend the past and move forward toward building a real state for Yemenis that guarantees their living rights and political freedoms.

It is worth noting that today is the anniversary of the restoration of Yemeni unity on May 22, 1990, the National Day of the Republic of Yemen.
