Text of the Supreme Authority Chairman's speech:

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

“O my people, have you considered: if I am upon clear evidence from my Lord and He has provided me with a good provision from Him...? And I do not intend to differ from you in that which I have forbidden you; I only intend reform as much as I am able. And my success is not but through Allah. Upon him I have relied, and to Him I return.”

Dear brothers and sisters, members and supporters of the Yemeni Islah Party, all citizens

Good evening, greetings of freedom and a cheerful republican greeting,

Today we address you on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the founding of the Yemeni Islah Party, at a time when our country is still going through open exceptional circumstances. We address you because you, after Allah Almighty, are the country’s hope, present and future.

The Islah Party was born as a republican party that lived engrossed in the heart of the masses, and was, is and will forever be a servant of its people for the sake of the republic of all the people, where the Yemenis are free masters since the eternity who are subject only to the Almighty One, and do not accept the differences of human value and do not compromise on them. Our Islah Party arose from the midst of this free public, bearing its banner and defending its political choices, its national interests and its human honor from the first moment until this moment and it will continue, Allah Almighty willing because the republic is our choice and its system is the fence of our dignity.

The Islah Party has worked from within the arena of political action in accordance with its organizing rules and away from the legacy of zero-sum conflict and the policy of political cancellation, exclusion, marginalization and exclusion In order to bypass this, the Islah Party pushed with its full weight to create a national moment that established a joint work and contributed with the comrades of the political struggle to the manufacture of a political bloc (the Joint Meeting Parties) that practiced the opposition in order to extract the rights of the citizen and enable him to do so.

Wherever it went, the Islah Party continued to be an example of political awareness and contributed to providing the requirements for the success of political partnership at the central leadership level, in cities and in the countrysides.

Brothers and Sisters:

For more than six years, our people have been waging a sacred historical struggle for their freedom and political rights, which have become threatened due to a war imposed on them by the Houthi militia through the overthrow of its legitimate authority and the outcomes of the Comprehensive National Dialogue Conference, in which the militia was among its components, a war that Yemenis spared no way or opportunity to avoid it, but the terrorist Houthi militia imposed it on them by force, and it launched a massive war on the cities and countryside of Yemen, dropping all opportunities for peace and destroying civil peace and the social fabric in an unprecedented way.

At a time when the Islah Party with all the sons of the homeland and its national forces side by side and shoulder to shoulder are walking in the path of this struggle, the Islah Party was not looking for a partisan gain and did not offer its sacrifice in order to obtain a political booty, but rather made those sacrifices in response to the call of religious, national duty and ethical. In the moment of the collapse of nations, any gain or any booty has no value. Our only desired goal is for the people to restore their state and for the rebel coup group to stop targeting our people, especially in the lands it occupies. Our only goal is to lift the grievance and terrorism practiced by the Houthi militia against our people and restore their right and freedom to self-determination in accordance with the rules of justice and equal citizenship.

At a time when we recall the sacrifice made by the Islah Party today, not in order to count our bids for the homeland but to regain feelings of pride, and the Islahis recall their position in the hierarchy of glory and struggle while they redefine freedom with its great value that deserves all these sacrifices. This is your glory, Islahis, the flag and the national anthem, the state, the regime and the republic, freedom and political pluralism, democracy and free will. So, greetings to all the struggling brothers and sisters in all parts of our dear homeland and in all the arenas of expenditure and giving. We are not fighting an electoral battle to go into the administration of the government as much as it is a battle we are fighting so that the rule is available to every Yemeni, no advantages, no privileges, no exceptions because the two power and wealth are rights of the people for the circulation of power peacefully without fighting and to share the wealth with justice without monopoly.

Those are the concepts and values for which the Islahis, men and women, struggled, along with millions of honorable people from our people and from all its sects, then who can show more keenness for the homeland and the citizen than the Islah Party today? All its history of struggle radiates supreme values, and all its sacrifices are in defense of the civilized principles of free peoples and the gains of modern man. If we are the Party that came from the heart of the masses and with the vote of the electorate, it entered and left power, then this, to the extent that is a source of pride, motivates us to shoulder our double responsibility towards the republican system of the country and its pluralistic foundations for our sake and for the sake of the generations who deserve to be bequeathed freedom.

On this 31st anniversary of the founding of the Islah Party, and above all, our party sends a great tribute to the great leader Muhammad Qahtan, who is spending his sixth year in unknown abduction corners. To you, the Statue of Liberty, you and all your comrades who were abducted in the prisons of the Houthi militia from all parties, regions and directions, to all of you, my dearest salutations because you are absent and are always present with us. Your enforced disappearance, Qahtan, is a stain of shame in the history of your jailers, and it is an argument that strips the Houthi gang of any allegations of false morals... As for the years of your life that you spend behind the prison walls, it is a testimony that confirms your steadfastness in front of their brutality, and your greatness in the eyes of your jailers even when you are stripped of freedom. Your absence is a wound, but your wound is an asset that is engraved in the conscience of the people. We will not forget you, and the masses will not forget you. They testify that with the years of your disappearance, freedom has disappeared and politicians have lost the ability to speak out their positions. You and the Islah Party were one of the most important conditions and progress of politics. Greetings to you and the group of great heroes from all political forces, greetings to Dr. al-Bawwab and his comrades, Abdul Khaliq Omran and his comrades, Zakaria Qassem and his comrades, as well as to Mahmoud al-Subayhi, Nasser Mansour, Faisal Rajab, to all the abducted journalists and to all the honorable people who were disappeared in the prison abductions wherever they are.

Here, the Islah Party also renews its call for the unconditional release of Qahtan and his comrades and all the abducted, the cessation of all factors of forced displacement and exile, and the cessation of political investment in the file of the abducted civilians whose absence constitutes a condemnation of their dehumanizing abductor, imbued with hatred enough to target a civilian who has no weapon but his pen or his stance.

All Yemenis:

Perhaps you all remember the first moments in which the Houthi militia undermined your state and seemed to possess your lives forever. In those moments, honorable men of officers and members of the armed and security forces appeared like mountains, who sided with their homeland and preserved their military honor, along with thousands of elements of popular resistance to guard the gains of the founding fathers, who called each other to prevent the Houthi gang from subjugating the country to its rule by force, and unite around the republic, which is the idea and the system, to build the national army, which is still continuing the journey until today, because it was created from the womb of the tragedy of a people who was preparing for an era of peace and stability in which there is no conflict except the struggle of politics with its soft tools that do not bleed and does not expose the citizen to dangers. The Houthis have overthrown the path of politics and peace and imposed the course of the war and fighting and launched an internal war backed by the outside against the people with the aim of forcing them to give up their freedom, sovereignty and right to rule.

And on this happy anniversary: We salute the protectors of the people and their heroic guards in the fields who deserve the honor of standing before them with love and reverence, those who formed with their bodies shields to repel the hordes of the enemy from the coasts of Aden to the mountains of Saada, and from the Tihama plains and the steadfast hills of Taiz to the Marib desert.

Soldiers who have dedicated themselves to guarding all of our lives against persecution, we must give them the bulk of our attention, for without them, after Allah Almighty, the Imamis would not have left for the Yemenis an iota of freedom or dignity. It is the battle most closely related to our position as a people that deserves to rule itself and take its place at the heart of the movement of history, not in its margins. The battle, which should be the last of wars and the first era of political stability and development.

On this occasion, the Yemeni Islah Party pays a special greeting to the Yemeni woman, as she sets the most wonderful examples of giving and patience, and shares the responsibility and tax of the struggle with the man with awareness of what her fate will under the authority of the Imamate and the priesthood.

In this context, the Islah Party calls on the government, with all its bodies and institutions, to carry out its historical and legal duty to support the soldiers in their barricades and provide all that is required for the open battle to defend the homeland and protect the rights and freedoms of citizens, because all the capabilities of the state belong to the people and they must be obtained in their battle existentialism against a group operating within a foreign agenda and shedding Yemeni blood to strengthen Iran’s negotiating position. As for the martyrs, they are the highest manifestation of the nobility of issues and their right to continuity and immortality, they are the ideal of sincerity and sacrifice, and if there are those who share these advantages with the martyrs, they are the wounded and the people with special needs, where they stood in the same position and made the same leap, there is no difference between the wounded and the martyr except that the enemy was less accurately aiming his bullets this time.

Here, the most important and urgent questions come to mind, which is: What is the condition of the martyr's family? What is the condition of the injured? Where and how does he receive his treatment? Who supports the family of the martyr or the wounded person? What did the concerned authorities do to those who kept us away from the misery of defeat and the bitterness of loss?!

And at a time when we call on the concerned authorities to carry out their duties towards this honorable group, we in the Islah Party hold them responsible for any failure, delay or negligence suffered by the families of the martyrs, the wounded and the abducted and their families, and we call for more attention to them and taking the necessary measures to make up for what has passed.

We will also not forget to urge the concerned authorities to take care of the Yemeni expatriates scattered in various countries and address their conditions, as well as solve the problems faced by students on scholarships abroad and relieve them of their suffering, because they are the most important group on whom the hope of our people depends on achieving the scientific renaissance in various disciplines.

O Yemenis,

O descendants of Sheba and Himyar:

We have been facing open Iranian aggression for years, in which the Houthis are nothing but a game in the hands of their allies in Persia... Today, the battle of the Yemenis is a battle in which our people stand, carrying the banner of dignity, against an expansionist project that threatens the region by the hands of an internal militia that is also based on the myth of the custodianship and the dynasty. The barbarism of the new Imamis combined with Iran's expansionist project, attempting to strip Yemen of its identity and history. You all can follow the activities of the Houthis in the occupied capital of our country, Sanaa, in order to realize the degree of congruence between what the Houthis are doing and the activities of the Iranian Hawzas in the rest of the countries that Iran is tampering with. This is the image that the Houthi group seeks to generalize every day in Sanaa and the rest of the cities under its control and to make Yemenis as fuel for a war targeting the entire Arab existence, the war that the Houthis actually started and are continuing through their repeated and condemned attacks on cities and objects in our country and in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and I do not think that any pure Yemeni person would accept this disaster, whatever the cost.

Accordingly, and in the face of this Houthi desire insisting on bulldozering the Yemeni identity, forcibly imposing its sectarian identity on society and mobilizing the upcoming generation on the culture of hatred, we must raise the degree of our national and liberation awareness and get rid of any factors that confuse us and weaken our struggle, in order to hasten the salvation of our people and stop this absurdity Houthis that tampering present and future generations.

The Houthi criminality did not stop at destroying our present; rather, his hands extend to pollute the future, with the dangers that this poses to distorting the psychology of the tolerant Yemeni citizen and charging him with their superstitious perceptions and the falsehoods of the dynasty and the diseased sectarianism. His foolishness has reached the point of falsifying history and polluting knowledge in the service of Iran, which is now ruling Sanaa through its representative of its Revolutionary Guard, and that this sectarian ideological approach will establish a situation of a permanent war makes peace something near impossible and unattainable, with which all local, regional and international efforts will fail.

Dear brothers and sisters:

We know that we live in exceptional circumstances, but everyone's task is to be at the level of this circumstance, which means mobilizing all energies and dealing in an exceptional spirit, and at the forefront of those invited here is the government, which is required to end the stagnation and all disincentives to government action, mobilize resources, and stop all sources of money bleeding General, combating corruption, addressing imbalances in all civil, military and diplomatic institutions of the state, activating the authorities and regulatory agencies, activating the principle of reward and punishment, holding accountable those whose corruption and failures have been proven, expediting the opening and rehabilitation of the closed ports of the country, in a way that enables the government to resume oil and gas exports and provide What the country requires of hard currency to finance the needs of citizens and improve their living conditions, as well as the transfer and control of communications by the government due to its importance in providing the state’s public treasury with financial resources and preventing the terrorist Houthi militia from using the communications network to spy on citizens and members of the armed and security forces, which is detrimental to the national battle to restore state and end the coup.

We also call on the government to put in place firm measures to address the issue of the deterioration of the value of the national currency and to stop the bleeding in its value, to lift the suffering of the people who are suffering from the scourge as a result of the economic collapse, high prices and deterioration of services, as well as work to provide security and stability, impose the authority of the state on all liberated Governorates, protect citizens from the dominance of the militias, whose attacks on citizens have increased through murder, abducting and enforced disappearance, and this requires the government to punish the perpetrators and those who tamper with the lives of citizens, their security and stability.

We, in the Yemeni Islah Party, and as always, reaffirm our support for the government and cooperation with it with everything we can do to facilitate its work, and in return, we call on it to activate its role in a way that ends the state of government deficit and doubles its presence in the living reality and its ability to accomplish its tasks at a level worthy of the citizen’s ambition.

Our goal behind supporting the government is to strengthen its political and economic position so that it can serve the citizen, provide them with the necessary services, address difficult living conditions and protect and secure the citizen in their residence and during their movement. Our political position is linked to the conditions of all citizens and to their service.

On the other hand, the Islah Party renews its call to all political and civil forces to the need to transcend the past with all its burdens and look towards the future, because today we are all facing a historical task that transcends partisan conflict and goes beyond it to the task of preserving the national state, its republican system, people’s right to a decent life and expression and expressed their views freely, especially after the terrorist Houthi militia seized the country's capital and plundered the state's resources.

Accordingly, the entire political elite, at the forefront of which the Islah Party, are responsible before history and the people to carry out their broad national duty of contributing to strengthening the national fabric, protecting civil peace and developing a sense of the dangers of regional incitement and the damages of hate speech. It is important to stop media wrangling between partners of political action.

We must all within the political system not forget the first step taken by the militia after the abduction of the capital, Sanaa: It has completely frozen political life, and even criminalized it and closed the headquarters of some parties, arrested some party leaders and confiscated newspapers, thus declaring the death of politics and the birth of war.

The policy in which the parties should remain keen to save it, even within its minimum limits, and within the framework of keeping the republican ranks cohesive and protecting the national compass from any deviations. This is the possible national task, necessary and obligatory for our parties today, the task that must be returned to the arena of political action and provide an enabling environment for its return to revitalize the work of the National Coalition of Political Parties and Forces and implement its executive program that was previously approved by the Coalition itself and was discussed with the government and work to turn it into a part of the government program and reviving political dialogue as a practice by which all parties achieve their legitimacy in front of the masses of our Yemeni people and demonstrate the sincerity of their responsibility in this most dangerous stage.

The painful lesson of Sana'a and the sad fate of the politics within it requires vigilance against any similar threat to it and seeking to protect it and preserve the citizens' right to express opinion, position and activity. And if politics was banned in Sanaa, how did it meet the same fate in the temporary capital, Aden? Where there are no services for citizens, which made us confront the enemies of the republic in a capital where there is no public, no politics, and no public liberties.

O Islahis... O citizens throughout our dear country,

On the anniversary of its founding, the Yemeni Islah Party reiterates the call for the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement, as it is the political framework to end the state of rupture in the ranks of legitimacy and the correct and safe way for the return of the presidency, government, parliament, the Shura Council and all state institutions and to gather efforts to restore the state and start with the security and military aspect. Accordingly, we call for fulfilling the specific commitments, the agreed steps, focusing on the great goal of normalizing the political, security and military situation and working under the government's umbrella to stabilize the pillars of the state. The Islah Party also affirms its sincere willingness to understand and cooperate with every step that would achieve the interests of everyone, including the brothers in the Southern Transitional Council, calling on them to transcend special considerations and act according to what is required by the higher interest of the country, as no goal can be achieved unilaterally, and all gains Unilateralism will remain gains subject to extinction unless everyone unites to strengthen the one Yemeni state and understanding under its grand framework.

Harvesting the bloody experience puts us all before our moral and national responsibility because what the terrorist Houthi militia has done since its coup against constitutional legitimacy puts all Yemenis in front of the fact that it is the enemy of their present and their future all without discrimination, no matter how much it hides behind its lies or runs through the cracks of our differences because its goal is to seize the state of the Yemenis over the entire national territory and subjugate its citizens without distinction between them, and examples of that are many, where it continues to this day targeting various regions such as Marib, Al-Jawf, Taiz, Al-Dhali', Hodeidah and Mocha, and the crime of targeting the military base of Al-Anad is not far from us, and this requires the Yemenis that they all line up without exception in facing it, and that any delinquency of any political force to go beyond this fact and play a role outside this context only indicates a miscalculation from it that will soon turn into a crushing disappointment that prolongs the suffering of our Yemeni people throughout the entire geography of the country.

We also do not miss on this occasion to renew our call for the free world to stand with the struggles of our Yemeni people to achieve their freedom, and we say to the world: The Yemenis, like you, are a people who aspire to a free and dignified life, and who suffer from the grip of an armed militia that confiscated their freedom, plundered their resources and subjected them to its authority by force, and even went further to claim its divine right to rule without people.

Here, the talk is about the terrorist Houthi group because it is the group that launched this open war against the Yemenis and it has been and still rejects all peace calls until this moment, the last of which was their rejection of the initiative of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its insistence on targeting civilians and the displaced, which calls for taking a strong international position towards these terrorist militias, where slackening in dealing with them pushes them to more violence and terrorism and insistence on achieving political gains by force of arms.

The fate of humanity has always been one and peoples have always joined hands to eliminate all forms of racism in the world. Perhaps the Yemeni people today are fighting one of the worst historical racism, the racism of a theocracy that embodies a model for the dark ages, cancels the will of people and believe in violence as an approach to governance and a general way of life, which it places the world in front of a moral responsibility that it shares with the Yemenis to support them in their battle to defend the values of modern life and combat the last rising racism on the planet.

And at a time when the Yemeni Islah Party welcomes the newly appointed UN envoy to Yemen, Mr. Hans Grundberg, as well as the US envoy to Yemen, Mr. Tim Lenderking, it calls on the international community to fulfill its responsibility by activating all tools that guarantee the implementation of Security Council resolutions on the Yemeni issue, which would not only assist a member state of the United Nations in maintaining its republican system and democratic path but would also remove a real threat to all international security of keeping one of the most important sea straits in the world within reach of the adventures of a militia that has no slightest sense of responsibility, where evidence of this danger is no longer hidden from anyone.

In this context, we stress the need to adhere to the three references to the final solution that our country deserves, namely the Gulf Initiative, the outcomes of the Comprehensive National Dialogue Conference and Security Council resolutions related to the Yemeni issue, foremost of which is Resolution No. 2216 as the reference frame that defines the Yemeni issue and the best map for solving the Yemeni problem and stopping the war and putting an end to the bad humanitarian situation, and also because it precisely defines the international role, this role that has been subjected to setbacks that reached the point of failure at times and repeated suspension due to the desire to bypass this framework and attempts to work from outside it.

Therefore, we call for a review of the experience of the former United Nations envoys and to benefit from the mistakes that were made so that they are not repeated.

Finally: On this occasion, we renew our thanks to the Arab Alliance to support legitimacy, represented by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and his Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman for their great efforts to support our country politically, economically and militarily. We appreciate their historical role in supporting legitimacy represented by His Excellency President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi, and we affirm our people’s preservation of the beautiful and their reciprocal loyalty, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has always been like that, and we know that it is a neighbor who is very concerned about the status of Yemen.

The truth is that the linkage between our two peoples is one of the established historical facts, and the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the best who is aware and appreciative of that.

Mercy for the martyrs, healing for the wounded, and freedom for the captives and the abducted

Long live the Republic of Yemen and long live the Yemeni people, free and proud

Chairman of the Supreme Authority of the Yemeni Islah Party
