The leader of the Yemeni Islah Party in Hadhramawt, Fouad Barbud, said that the Islah Party is still making sacrifices because it with the other components stands by the legitimacy in the face of the Houthi threat.

The leader of the Islah Party of Hadhramawt, during a political lecture allocated for party members organized by the Yemeni Islah Party in the Seiyun Directorate, Al-Qarn region, coinciding with the 31st anniversary of the Party’s founding, pointed out that a number of Islah Party cadres are still in militia prisons and are subjected to the worst forms of torture or are displaced and chased outside their areas and homeland, at the forefront of them is the leader who has been abducted by the Houthi militia since they stormed the capital, Sana’a in 2014, Mr. Muhammad Qahtan.

And the leader in the Islah Party, Fouad Barbud, reviewed the party's march from its founding in 1990 until today and the prominent stations that accompanied its march. The Party has dealt with it according to the circumstances and the variables that accompanied each stage of time.

Barbud pointed out that the Islah Party, since its founding, believes in partnership with others and working for the interest of the country and in order to overcome the crises that were engulfing it and casting a shadow on the living life of the citizen.

The leader of the Islah Party pointed out that the current reality makes it imperative for any member of the Islah Party to expand the political culture in order to read the scene in a deeper way while looking at the changes that occurred from time to time with a certain political acumen and intuition.

He stressed that the positions of the Islah Party - in all of Yemen's political stations - were clear in supporting the constitutional legitimacy, as it is the umbrella on which Yemenis agree with all their intellectual, political and social orientations.

Barbud stressed the clear position of the Islah Party towards the Houthi militia, which is Iran's arm in the region, and its quest to enslave the people of Yemen and restore the sectarian imamate that the people of Yemen overcame and were liberated from in the revolution of September 26.

Barbud concluded his lecture by calling on members of the Islah Party to engage in community service according to the available capabilities and work to strengthen social cohesion and spread love, peace and coexistence in peace among the members of society.
