Al-Hajri and the French Ambassador discuss the situation in Yemen, efforts to establish peace and restore the state

Member of the Supreme Authority of the Yemeni Islah Party, head of the Parliamentary Bloc, MP Abdul Razzaq al-Hajri, expressed his appreciation for France's position and its efforts in support of Yemen and its legitimacy.

During his meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of France to Yemen Jean-Marie Safa, in the presence of the Deputy Head of the Parliamentary Bloc, Head of the Aden Islah Party, MP Ensaf Mayo, today, Thursday, al-Hajri confirmed that the Islah Party deals positively with all international endeavors to bring peace to Yemen and within the framework of the legitimacy, in a way that guarantees to restore the state and ending the suffering of the Yemeni people caused by the Houthi militia coup.

He pointed out that the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Yemen is an inevitable result of the coup and the crimes that followed it, as a result of the militia's resorting to violence and weapons and the blowing-up the outcomes of the Comprehensive National Dialogue Conference in which various political and social components of Yemen participated.

He called on the international community to do its part and put more pressure on the Houthi militia to stop its crimes targeting safe cities and civilians.

He reiterated the position of the Islah Party in support of local and international efforts that aim at combating terrorism, noting at the same time that the Islah Party is the most affected by terrorism.

With regard to the Riyadh Agreement, the Head of the Parliamentary Bloc of the Islah Party stressed the importance of speeding up the implementation of this Agreement, in a way that leads to the cohesion of the components of the legitimacy, the return of the government to carry out its tasks in providing services, achieving security and accelerating the process of restoring the state, praising the efforts of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in this regard.

While the head of the Aden Islah Party, MP Ensaf Mayo, praised the French role and the friends' keenness on the security, stability and unity of Yemen, praising the sincere French efforts before and during the session of the Comprehensive National Dialogue Conference.

Mayo touched on the deteriorating economic situation due to the deterioration of the value of the national currency and the Houthi steps that accompanied the procedures for transferring the Yemeni Central Bank to the interim capital, Aden, represented in the looting of cash reserves, as well as balances and accounts in favor of its war on Yemenis.

He pointed to the inaction of the international community in supporting the efforts of the Central Bank in the interim capital, Aden, to restore its monetary and banking role, which encouraged the Houthi militia to enhance its resources in all ways and adopt behaviors that led to the economic division that is afflicting Yemenis, calling for support for the government's return to Aden to practice its activity.

For his part, the French Ambassador reiterated his country's position in support of Yemen and the legitimacy, efforts to end the war and achieve peace, calling for a positive response to the efforts of the new UN envoy, Hans Grundberg.

He stressed France's keenness to support efforts to bring peace to Yemen, its support for the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement and the fight against terrorism, stressing the return of the government to the country and the fight against corruption.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Ambassador of France to Yemen, Mayssaa Rahmouni.
