Muammar al-Eryani, Minister of Information, confirmed that the terrorist Houthi militia carried out field executions of civilians in the villages of Al-Haymah area in Taiz Governorate and the mutilation of corpses and their crucifixion on trees.

In a series of tweets reinforced with brutal photos on his Twitter account, al-Eryani said that these crimes, which were committed by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia, were carried out in the manner of the two organizations of Al-Qaeda and ISIS.

Al-Eryani made it clear that "the international community, organizations and bodies concerned with human rights must condemn the war crimes committed by the Houthi group and work to include them on terrorist lists and ensure that their leaders do not have impunity."

In its statement issued on Thursday, the non-governmental Taiz Human Rights Center reported that 11 people were killed and 31 wounded by the fire of a military campaign launched by the Houthi group a week ago on the Al-Haymah area, north of Taiz.

The statement added that "the Houthi group abducted 196 people during the campaign, including 13 children, in addition to raiding more than 200 homes, destroying 28 other homes and forcing dozens of families to flee."

A few days ago, tweeters and human rights activists in Yemen circulated photos and videos on social media platforms of people who were hanged from tree trunks, where they said that the Houthi group executed them in the Al-Haymah area after carrying out a military campaign.

This comes while the American administration on Thursday rejected calls presented by UN officials to retract the designation of the Houthi group in Yemen as a "terrorist organization". During a Security Council session Thursday evening, the American deputy ambassador to the United Nations, Richard Mills, stressed the political importance of including the Houthis on the terrorism list.

For his part, Foreign Minister Ahmed bin Mubarak at the UN Security Council welcomed the recent decision taken by the US administration regarding classifying the Houthi group as a foreign terrorist organization, stressing that this decision is consistent with the demands of the Yemeni government and with the consensus of the Yemeni people and it proves the terrorist nature of this group.

The Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms had revealed, last Monday, the documentation of 334 human rights violations in the Al-Haymah area in the Al-Taiziah Directorate in the Taiz Governorate, southwest of the country, which were committed by the terrorist Houthi militia during the period from 6 to 11 January.

In its report, the Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms stated that the violations committed against the people of the Al-Haimah area in Taiz varied between deliberate killing, injury, abduction, enforced disappearance, displacement, and denial of access to treatment, food, and water as a result of the siege imposed on all residential homes in the area by the Houthi militia.

And the terrorist Houthi militia forced dozens of families to forcibly leave their homes and turn their homes into military barracks for the militia, and 4 Houthi military checkpoints were established at all entrances and exits to the Al-Haymah area.

The Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms called on all international, local and regional organizations, as well as all activists, media professionals, the media and the international community to exercise all means of pressure to lift the siege imposed on the Al-Haymah area and remove the mines that the Houthi militia planted at the entrances and exits of the region.

The Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs in Yemen and the International Red Cross also demanded the condemnation of this siege and all crimes that are being practiced by the militia against civilians, work to lift the imposed siege, conduct an urgent relief convoy, aid the wounded, and bring in the necessary aid to families who have become homeless.
