Al-Yadumi: The return of the government has revived the hopes of the citizens and we await the convening of the parliament

The Chairman of the Supreme Authority of the Yemeni Islah Party, Muhammad bin Abdullah al-Yadumi, said, "The citizens were very happy at the return of the government to the interim capital, Aden, despite the event that accompanied this return, which is the attempt to assassinate the members of the government after the plane carrying them landed a few minutes."

In a post on his Facebook account, al-Yadumi added, “The insistence of the prime minister and members of the government to stay in the interim capital of Aden and overcome the security challenge that dominates everything around it has had an impact on the revival of hope in the souls of citizens and their aspiration for a safe and stable life that they have long dreamed of."

Al-Yadumi continued, "There may be some disturbances and accidents that may occur here or there from time to time as a result of failure to complete the implementation of the military and security aspect that was mentioned in the Riyadh Agreement, but this can be overcome by normalizing daily life through the direct interest of His Excellency the Prime Minister and specialists, each one in his field of work, in cooperation with the governor, who has come a good way despite the scarcity of capabilities.

Al-Yadumi asserted that the convening of the House of Representatives sessions had indisputable importance to anyone, especially that the government is obligated to present its program to the Council in order for it to be approved after comments were made on it by members of the Council, especially since the government was late in submitting its program and not adhering to the time set for it constitutionally, which was stated in Article 86, which states that “The Prime Minister should present the general program of the government to the House of Representatives within twenty-five days at most from the date of the formation of the government in order to obtain the confidence of the majority of the number of Council members... etc.

He stated that the government exceeded the constitutional period by one day and nothing happened from this, where the government was formed on December 18, 2020, and with this, the government has exceeded the constitutional period to introduce the program.

In his post, al-Yadumi said, “As for the House of Representatives, neither its Presidency Council called for the convening of the Council, nor its members asked the Council to prepare the conditions for the convening of the Council in the interim capital of Aden as if this matter is one of the responsibilities of others and they are waiting for someone to invite them or someone to make a gesture to them.”

He said, "The return of diplomatic missions in order to settle in the temporary capital, Aden, will not be achieved unless these diplomatic missions are summoned by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the factors of stability are prepared for them in cooperation with the security authorities."

He added, "One of the government's most important messages directed abroad is its ability to open its airports and ports to those wishing to return to the homeland of those who have emigrated or been displaced, in addition to those wishing to reach our country, such as countries and UN or humanitarian organizations, and start communicating with Countries of the world and the removal of illusions of inhibitions that only nest in the minds of those who are being under a delusion that their ability to move will not be achieved except through those who extend the hands of the initiative.
