The Yemeni Islah Party reiterated the need to end the Houthi militia’s coup against the legitimacy and stop the militia’s wars that have been continuing against the Yemeni people for 6 years and the ballistic missile attacks committed by the militia against civilians, especially in the city of Marib. During the meeting that he gathered today, Thursday, with the ambassador of the Russian Federation to our country, Vladimir Didushkin, the Secretary-General of the Yemen Islah Party, Mr. Abdul Wahab Al-Anisi, stressed the need to implement the international decisions that issued on Yemeni affairs, especially the UN Resolution 2216. During the meeting, the Secretary-General referred to the war waged by the Houthi group against the Yemenis and the coup carried out on September 21, 2014, and the invasion of the capital, Sanaa, and then the rest of the cities of the Republic. He broached the Islah Party’s vision for permanent peace in Yemen and the Islah Party’s firm stance towards it. Al-Anisi stressed the position of the Islah Party that is supportive and steadfast in the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement, as it is an important entry point for the return of state institutions to play their role in spreading security and stability and providing services to citizens, and also because of its importance in expanding the base of a national partnership between all political forces. The Secretary-General of the Islah Party broached the depth and strength of the Yemeni-Russian relations and the need to work on strengthening and developing them. During the meeting, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Russia, Vladimir Didushkin, offered his congratulations to the Islah Party on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the founding of the party, and he highly valued the role of the Islah Party during the three decades that have passed since the age of party and democratic experience in Yemen. The Russian ambassador said that his country views the Islah Party with great admiration and appreciation because the Islah Party is one of the most important and largest political parties active in Yemen over the past three decades. Russia still believes that the Islah Party is an influential and important party, and it will play a positive role during the next stage because of its presence and influence as a civil political party that has contributed a lot to security and stability, and will also contribute in achieving peace and stability in Yemen in the future. The Russian ambassador reaffirmed his country's position in support of the legitimacy and the peace process, and its keenness to implement the Riyadh Agreement. The meeting was attended by the head of the parliamentary bloc of the Islah Party, Abdul Razzaq al-Hajri, and the deputy head of the parliamentary bloc the head of the Executive Office of the Yemeni Islah Party in Aden, Insaf Ali Mayo.
