The Yemeni Islah Party issued a statement mourning the death of former President Field Marshal Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi, who passed away today, Thursday, after a life full of political, military, and national work that lasted for decades, and whose roles witnessed a prominent presence in important and pivotal moments of modern Yemeni history.

With hearts filled with faith in God's will and decree, the Yemeni Islah Party mourns the passing of former President Field Marshal Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi, who died today after a long political, military, and national career spanning decades and witnessing a prominent role in crucial junctures of modern Yemeni history.

President Hadi passed away after a life dedicated to service and national work, during which he held various military and political positions. He began his journey in the military establishment in the south of the country and later became one of the most prominent leaders who witnessed the major transformations the country has undergone since before Yemeni unification until today.

The Yemeni Islah Party recalls the significant roles the deceased played during critical periods in the nation's history, beginning with his contributions within the military establishment, continuing through his long tenure as Vice President, and culminating in his role during the transitional phase, where he led the country through exceptionally complex circumstances amidst political divisions and significant security and economic challenges.

The Islah Party recalls the late president's staunch defense of Yemeni unity and the federal system, along with his unequivocal rejection of the Houthi coup against the state and its institutions. It also highlights his unwavering commitment to constitutional legitimacy and national, regional, and international frameworks, foremost among them the Gulf Initiative and its implementation mechanisms, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference, and relevant UN Security Council resolutions. In the party's view, these principles constitute the path to resolving the Yemeni crisis, restoring the state, and ending the coup, building on his previous success in leading and managing the comprehensive National Dialogue.

Throughout the years of war that followed the Houthi group's coup and takeover of the capital, Sana'a, the late president remained a central figure in the national landscape, spearheading efforts to restore the state during one of the most challenging periods Yemen has witnessed. This period was marked by immense human suffering, a severe economic collapse, and deep political and security divisions that left a heavy toll on all Yemenis.

The Yemeni Islah Party notes that the passing of President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi marks a turning point, prompting a re-examination of an entire era in modern Yemeni history, with all its significant challenges, experiences, and transformations. This is also linked to numerous political efforts and endeavors undertaken to preserve the Yemeni state, safeguard its national identity, strengthen its unity, and ensure its security and stability.

The Yemeni Islah Party expresses its deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the family of the deceased, his children, and relatives, as well as to all the people of Yemen. It prays to Almighty God to bestow His abundant mercy and forgiveness upon the deceased, grant him a place in His spacious Paradise, and beseeches Him to grant his family and loved ones patience and solace, and to protect Yemen and its people from all harm and evil.
