The Yemeni Islah Party expressed its strong condemnation of the assassination of Wissam Qaed, the acting executive director of the Social Fund for Development, which took place in the interim capital, Aden, on Sunday.

The party's official spokesperson, Adnan al-Odaini, stated in a post on the "X" platform that these terrorist crimes target the Yemeni state and seek to undermine the stability of its national institutions in Aden. They also aim to obstruct the path of development and stability supported by the Saudi-led coalition.

The party called for decisive measures to confront these criminal acts, focusing on ensuring the safety and security of citizens, enhancing their stability, guaranteeing the protection of rights, and consolidating the role of the state and its institutions.

The party emphasized the necessity of expediting the pursuit of those responsible for these crimes and uncovering the assassination networks behind them, to achieve justice and thwart any attempts at further chaos.

It stressed that providing protection for government institutions and civil and developmental figures is an urgent responsibility that cannot be postponed.

The Islah Party also extended its sincere condolences and sympathy to the family of the deceased Wissam Qaed and all his relatives and friends, praying to God to have mercy on him.
