Mr. Muhammad Abdullah al-Yadumi, Chairman of the Supreme Authority of the Yemeni Islah Party, reaffirmed that the Islah Party attaches great importance to national partnership from a firm position reinforced by the facts of history and political experience at the practical level in the various stages of joint political action.
In a speech that was broadcast live on Suhail Satellite Channel on Tuesday evening on the occasion of the thirty-third anniversary of the founding of the party, al-Yadumi made it clear that this position is based on knowledge of the Yemeni political reality and the truth of the firm belief that no one can be alone in the country’s decision-making without involving others, indicating that this is what has been proven by the positions of the Islah Party over the past decades is that the Islah Party has been keen on partnership and sincerity of alliances with all political action partners since the accomplishment of Yemeni unity and the emergence of political pluralism, whether in government coalitions or in opposition blocs, and then active participation in the National Alliance of the Political Parties and Forces supporting legitimacy, embodying the principle of partnership in facing challenges in all national transformations.
He stressed that the current stage requires building on the experience of the National Alliance of the Political Parties and Forces to expand the base of partnership through a broad political alliance that includes the Transitional Council, the Political Bureau of the National Resistance, and all components and forces affiliated with the legitimacy in order to move shoulder to shoulder towards ending the Houthi coup, building the federal state, consolidating the republican system, preserving the sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of the motherland.
Al-Yadumi stressed the need to revive the political process and allow parties to carry out their activities in all liberated Governorates.
Al-Yadumi pointed out that the announcement of the establishment of the Islah Party on September 13, 1990, represented a landmark year in the modern history of Yemen by declaring political pluralism and the adoption of the democratic path and political competition in accordance with the tools of peaceful action under the Yemeni unity state.
He continued, saying, “The Islah Party emerged as a national party extending from the history and legacy of the national civilizational struggle that was crowned by the revolution of the twenty-sixth of September 1962 and the revolution of the fourteenth of October 1963, based on the identity of the Yemeni people, their Islamic values, their national constants, their Arab and Islamic affiliation and their humane commonalities with the world.
He pointed out that the Islah Party was one of the national expressions of the aspirations of the Yemeni people, especially those affiliated with it from various classes of society, who were convinced of its mature political program, its conscious discourse, its balanced approach, and its moderate behavior to establish the emerging democratic experience and harness it to serve the people and build the state. The Islah Party was and still is a servant of the people, biased towards their national issues, embracing their concerns, aspirations, and living and service needs, and supporting the idea of the state in the various stages of political struggle transformations.
In his speech on the occasion of the Founding Day, the Chairman of the Supreme Authority of the Yemeni Islah Party pointed out that “this Founding Day coincides with the advent of the 61st anniversary of the September 26 Revolution, which ended a dark era that had predominated in our beloved homeland for a long time and declared the birth of our immortal Republic that took upon itself the achievement of the values of freedom, justice, and equal citizenship.”
He continued by saying, “During more than sixty years of the Republic, Yemenis of all categories moved towards an epic struggle to get rid of the legacy of ignorance, backwardness and racism that the defunct Imamate regime left behind, and by relying on their determination, enthusiasm, and aspiration for life, they achieved progress in development and removed the shackles of ignorance and humiliation, which restricted the energies of the Yemeni human being and nullified his capabilities.”
Al-Yadumi made it clear that the imamate, which pretended to be extinct when the people revolted against it, tended to hide its malicious seed in the garb of the republic and continued to lurk behind national and humanitarian values, taking advantage of the tolerance of the Yemenis and their desire for coexistence.
He pointed to the penetration of the Imamate - through its elements that are capable of changing their ideas and opinions and not remaining stable in one state - in the institutions of the state and the joints of governance in a moment of inattention of the Republican elites and the preoccupation of parties, movements, and national forces with differences.
He continued, saying: "With its new banner, the imamate represented by the Houthi militia was rearranging itself and preparing to attack the state and undermine the republican system that was here to stay."
He expressed his deep regret over the continued rumination of the past and the differences between political forces and said that this still represents a contributing factor to the prolongation of this militia’s control over some of our beloved country.
The Chairman of the Supreme Authority of the Yemeni Islah Party touched upon the oppression of the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia that our Yemeni people have suffered from since its invasion and military coup against the state, and the Houthi militia’s continued adherence to options and tools of violence as the only tool to impose its racist project on the Yemeni people through claims of divine right to power based on the myth of racial preference.
He said that the Houthi militia wants to impose its racist project through practices of oppression and abuse against the Yemeni people who aspire and struggle for a decent life, in addition to its firm convictions of the right to spread and expand in the region.
He stressed that the Islah Party is closely monitoring the voices that challenge the machine of oppression and declare from within the militia’s areas of control a rejection of the wave of human rights violations, confiscation of people’s livelihoods, stop paying of salaries, plundering of property and imposition of unjust taxes that have burdened citizens in order for the militia leaders to live a luxurious life.
He also affirmed the position of the Islah Party in support of the private sector and national capital, which is being systematically plundered and destroyed by restricting it and imposing royalties and illegal measures that affected the labor, trade, and investment sectors.
Al-Yadumi condemned the campaign of repression, terrorism, abduction, and forced disappearance carried out by the Houthi militia against journalists, activists, and masses of people demanding their violated rights.
He called on the great Yemeni people to be more cohesive in order to resist the Houthi militia, which is working hard to destroy the societal fabric and change the identity of society. He also called for protecting the young generation from the intellectual toxins spread by the militia through distorting school curricula, which have reached the point of distorting the goals of the September 26 Revolution in a way that achieves its intellectual ideology based on racial and class discrimination.
He pointed out that the Islah Party was and still is - along with all free Yemenis - at the forefront of defenders of the Republic, its noble goals great gains. The Islah Party will also remain committed to the national constants for which it sacrificed men and property in support of the national battle to restore the state.
He made it clear that the Islah Party made those sacrifices alongside all free Yemenis who believe in the justice of the cause and the duty to defend the republic and its gains because they believed in the values of dignity, freedom, justice, and equal citizenship as a right for the Yemeni people acquired from the history of the ongoing struggle against the projects of the Imam priesthood and its hateful remnants.
Al-Yadumi said that the struggle to restore the state and end the coup was marred by a number of stumbles in the past periods that exacerbated human suffering and helped prolong the Iranian hand’s tampering with our country and harming the region and the world.
He stressed that the Yemenis today will not be able to overcome these challenges and rise from these pitfalls except with true unity that moves from slogans to acts according to programs and mechanisms capable of gathering forces and components within the framework of legitimacy, expanding their base, and unifying their goals and strength to end the coup, especially in light of the continued Houthi intransigence squandered all the opportunities for peace granted to it and dealt with them arrogantly.
He pointed out that Al-Houthi has proven that he does not believe in peace and can only be deterred by a legitimate leap to save citizens from slavery and persecution practiced by the militia against them in areas under its control.
He continued: "There is still an opportunity available to the militia, which may not remain available on the table indefinitely, to lean toward the peace that we believe in as a humanitarian and political value to achieve a sustainable peace based on the three references: the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference, the Gulf Initiative, and UN Resolution (2216)." ".
The head of the Supreme Authority of the Yemeni Islah Party confirmed that any peace formula that affects the legal status of legitimacy or violates the priority of disarming the militia, without the militia transforming into a political component that believes in democracy and political competition through the ballot boxes within the framework of the federal state, is a mined peace that is based on the sustainability of violence and paves the way for rounds of conflict and wars to come, works to destabilize the security and stability of the region and threatens Arab national security.
Al-Yadumi renewed the position of the Islah Party in support of the unity of the Presidential Leadership Council and the unification of the armed formations under the leadership of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and within the framework of the Ministries of Defense and Interior and completing the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement to enable the Council to carry out the tasks assigned to it in accordance with the Declaration of Delegation of Authority.
He called on the Presidential Leadership Council and the government to end the state of political stagnation, work in accordance with the requirements of partnership and consensus, exercise the tasks assigned to them, and raise the efficiency of the performance of government institutions in accordance with the priorities of the stage in order to provide services to citizens, foremost of which is solving the problem of power outages in the temporary capital, Aden, in a radical way, and stopping the collapse. economic and deteriorating currency prices, stopping sources of depletion of public funds, activating regulatory agencies, and addressing the conditions of teachers and all state employees.
He also called for enabling the legislative authority, represented by Parliament, to carry out its oversight and legislative work from within the temporary capital, Aden, and accelerating the formation of the National Anti-Corruption Authority. He also urged the Presidential Command Council and the government to take serious action to restore oil exports and rehabilitate the ports that were subjected to a terrorist act by the Houthi militia, which harmed the interests of citizens throughout Yemeni territory.
He called on the government to pay attention to the armed forces, security, and resistance, to regularly disburse the monthly salaries of members of the armed forces, to provide the necessary support for the national battle, to provide the necessary amounts to treat the wounded at home and abroad, to accelerate the establishment of a national body to care for the war-wounded, those with special needs, and the families of martyrs, and to allocate an adequate budget. To care for them and provide for their living and health needs.
On the 33rd founding day of the Islah Party, al-Yadumi stressed that the Islah Party is fully convinced that the Republic of Yemen’s connection with its Gulf neighbors and its regional surroundings is an inevitable issue imposed by the facts of geography, history, religious ties, common interests and what good neighborly relations require.
He stressed that Yemen will only be safe and stable within the framework of its Arab and Islamic surroundings in general, and its Gulf surroundings in particular, by establishing a strong neighborly relationship with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the brothers in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, indicating that this is what has been stipulated in the political literature of the Islah Party since its founding.
He considered that the Houthi militia is nothing but a spear in the side of the region that threatens the security of Yemen, its neighbors, regional security, and international shipping lanes, and that is what makes moving together towards ending the coup and restoring the state necessary to achieve regional and international security.
The head of the Islah Party stressed that the resolutions and recommendations of the UN Security Council oblige the international community to stand firmly in the face of Iranian interference in Yemen, which destabilizes the security and stability of the region, and also obligates the UN Special Envoy to Yemen to harness his efforts to implement international resolutions and not to condone the rebellion of the coup militia against the resolutions. International or provide justifications for them.
He said that the UN envoy must accurately describe the parties to the war in Yemen, which is taking place between a coup rebel militia that imposed this war and a recognized legitimacy that exercises its constitutional role in restoring the state and ending the coup.
Al-Yadumi renewed the Yemeni Islah Party’s condemnation of terrorist operations and the party’s position of rejecting terrorism in all its forms. He pointed out that because of this scourge, Yemen paid a heavy price for its security, stability, sovereignty and the lives of its citizens.
He stressed that the leaders and cadres of the Islah Party are at the forefront of those targeted by terrorist assassinations, the investigation files into which have not yet been closed. He called on the government to arrest all elements involved in these crimes and bring them to court.
He stressed that the government must develop a comprehensive strategy to combat terrorism by eliminating its roots and intellectual, economic, and security causes in cooperation with regional and international partners.
Al-Yadoumi praised the huge sacrifices of the reformists in places of pride and honor in various fields of struggle, and said: “We encourage you in order to continue the national struggle to restore the state and end the coup.”
He offered his cordial greetings to the people of Taiz who are steadfast in the face of Houthi arrogance, which imposes a siege on Taiz in light of the identification of the UN position with this crime against humanity.
I also offered his cordial greetings to the valiant tribes and resistance of Ma’rib and all Yemeni tribes for their courageous steadfastness in the national battle to resist the Houthi priestly project.
He stressed that this battle requires all people to rally around it for the victory of the national project. He also called for trust in Allah first and then in the justice of the cause, and that Yemen will return free and victorious, its state and republican system will return, and its security and prosperity will return soon.
Al-Yadumi offered his cordial greetings to all the reformists at home and abroad, and said, addressing them, “You stand in the fields of giving and giving in all areas of struggle without hesitation, weakness, or complacency, in order to represent, with all the free people of Yemen, the pillar of solid political and social legitimacy, its national battle, and your sacrifices that still ongoing will be recorded in history and will be preserved by the memory of generations.”
He continued, saying: "On every occasion we stand before the sacrifices of the righteous martyrs who shed their blood and gave their lives for the pride and elevation of Yemen and the dignity and freedom of its children."
He offered his cordial greetings to the brave heroes of the army and security and the men of the popular resistance stationed throughout Greater Yemen who have made and are still making huge sacrifices to abort the dreams of the dynastic project.
He also offered his cordial greetings to the sacrifices and steadfastness of the abducted and forcibly disappeared people in the prisons of the priesthood militias, led by the struggling leader Mr. Muhammad Qahtan, a member of the Supreme Authority of the Yemeni Islah Party.
He offered his cordial greetings to the brothers in the Arab Alliance led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and his Crown Prince, His Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, for all the support they have provided and continue to provide to Yemeni legitimacy at various military, political and diplomatic levels, in addition to the mixing of the blood of the common sacrifice of the officers and soldiers of the Arab Alliance countries with the blood of their Yemeni brothers, embodying the unity of the battle and the bonds of brotherhood.
He renewed his thanks to the brothers in the Kingdom’s leadership for their continued support for Yemen, the latest of which was the financial grant estimated at one billion and two hundred million US dollars to help the government face economic challenges and fulfill its obligations.
