His Excellency President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi, President of the Republic, called on the international community to support the government's efforts in facing economic challenges, and to support policies and plans to support the national currency to achieve stability of life, as well as to pay attention to the suffering of the Yemeni people who are facing all kinds of tragedies, torture, and harsh living conditions as a result of the war caused by the Iranian-backed Houthi coup militia.

In his speech delivered through visual communication technology at the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly, His Excellency President Hadi stressed the need for the international community not to allow the Houthis to turn the humanitarian file into a file to blackmail the government and the international community by insisting on plundering funds allocated for the payment of salaries and disrupting the efforts of the United Nations. His Excellency also called on the international community to take serious and urgent work in order to end the potential disaster that could be caused by the Safir oil reservoir, which the Houthi militia refuses to allow the UN teams to maintain and repair.

The President of the Republic said: with the unlimited support of our brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, we have come a long way in implementing the Riyadh Agreement, which aims to achieve stability and overcome the unfortunate events that the temporary capital of Aden witnessed in August of last year. From the first moment, we were interested in providing all facilities in front of the efforts exerted for implementing the agreement, proceeding from our convictions the need for uniting the efforts of everyone in order to move forward towards building and development under the banner of the state. Hence, we renew our confidence in the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to proceed to complete the implementation of this Agreement.

He added: this session is being held for the sixth time, while we in the Republic of Yemen are living in difficult and harsh conditions as a result of the war imposed on our people by the Houthi coup militia and its regional supporter, Iran, which began its plans after the implementation of the Gulf Initiative and its Executive Mechanism and coincided with the successful completion of the Comprehensive National Dialogue Conference, which set a roadmap for the future of the Republic of Yemen with the participation of all the political parties and components, which did not satisfy the Houthi militia, which sent its representatives to the dialogue table and at the same time went preparing to turn against it, through mobilizing its militias to bring down cities and villages, displace the population from their villages and regions, leading to an invasion the capital, Sanaa, in September 2014, the seizure of state institutions, the coup against the elected legitimacy, the elimination of the political climate, the suffocation of public freedoms, the raiding of homes, the bombing of schools and places of worship, the pursuit of the voices opposing them, the abuse of citizens, and transformation of Sanaa's history, civilization and coexistence, into a big prison for our people there.

His Excellency the President of the Republic continued: We extended our hand to peace, and did everything we could to support and facilitate the efforts of the United Nations and its envoy to our country, Martin Griffiths and the two envoys before him, in order to save the country and reach a permanent and comprehensive peace that stops the Yemeni bloodshed and the Yemeni tragedy because our Yemeni people in short will not accept the Iranian experience on their soil, whatever the circumstances and challenges.

He broached the concessions offered by the legitimacy for the sake of peace over the past five years, and the commitment of the legitimacy and with it the brothers in the Arab Alliance supporting the legitimacy led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia months ago to a unilateral ceasefire, to allow the opportunity in front of the efforts made by Mr. Griffiths to reach a permanent and comprehensive ceasefire and the resumption of the political process.

He expressed his regret at the total intransigence with which these efforts were met by the terrorist Houthi militias and their supporters in the Iranian regime, adding: they even exploited this to mobilize, escalate and attack the governorates and cities, and commit more massacres against civilians in many governorates and cities of Yemen. And what ou see today, starting from the brutal escalation of these militias, especially in the governorates of Marib, al-Jawf and al-Baydha, on which the Houthi militia has been waging a brutal military campaign for months, targeting residential neighborhoods with ballistic missiles, regardless of the lives of civilians and displaced people fleeing from their areas of control who number in the millions, as well as what these terrorist militias are doing of frequently target civilians and civilian facilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, all of which gives a clear picture of the intentions of these militias, and their stance towards peace, which calls for the international community to play its role in putting an end to this arrogant arrogance and ending the suffering of our people through active and decisive pressure on the these militias and their sponsor in Tehran to implement the Security Council resolutions, stop the harassment in bloodshed and destruction, and allow humanitarian aid to reach all Yemenis.

He pointed out that the United Nations had a pivotal and prominent role in overseeing the political transition process in Yemen since 2011, where the transitional phase began according to the Gulf Initiative and its Executive Mechanism to form a national government and presidential elections, passing through the holding of the Comprehensive National Dialogue Conference for all segments of Yemeni society and the drafting of the new Yemeni constitution according to the outcomes of that dialogue, preparing its submission to a referendum by the Yemeni people and ending with its approval and holding elections in accordance with the new constitution, where the Houthi coup came to stop the process of the transitional phase and wage war on the Yemeni people, pointing out to this war imposed on the Yemeni people, which caused a humanitarian catastrophe, tore apart Yemeni society and caused waves of displacement, mass displacement, repression, enforced disappearances and the greatest poverty that the people have witnessed in decades.

President Hadi said: I offer my sincere congratulations to the President of the seventy-fifth session of the United Nations General Assembly, wishing him continued success in his duties, and I express my sincere thanks and gratitude to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Mr. Antonio Guterres, for his efforts in leading the organization towards carrying out its role in protecting international peace and security, and achieving the noble message of the organization, whose impact is reflected on all peoples and states, including the Republic of Yemen, in which the United Nations has made remarkable and grateful efforts to reach lasting peace in it, and has tirelessly sought to meet the challenges it faces, especially humanitarian challenges. And I am honored to offer my sincere congratulations to the sons of our great Yemeni people at home and abroad on the occasion of the glorious holidays of the two Yemeni revolutions come in September and October, in which our people's celebrations coincide with the meeting of the United Nations General Assembly.

He also thanked all the efforts and support provided by brothers and friends, organizations and donor countries, which are also not spared from blackmail, restrictions and blockade as they seek to alleviate the human tragedy experienced by the Yemeni people, which has taken on multiple faces with the continuation of the war, and the exacerbation of economic challenges and obstacles facing the efforts of the government and state institutions in carrying out their tasks to serve the citizen, resume services, and normalize the situation in the liberated areas, wishing for the session a success and for the United Nations more development and effectiveness in serving humanity and its happiness, and that its decisions are at the level of the grave challenges it faces, and we wish all members and their societies further development and prosperity, and all human society happiness, goodness and prosperity.
