Today, Thursday, the Association of the Abductees Mothers demanded the international and local community and human rights organizations to practice pressure on all parties for the comprehensive release of all the abducted and forcibly disappeared, in anticipation of the spread of the CONVID-19 virus.
In its statement published on Twitter, the Association said that it is aware of the size of the threat the threatens the abductees in prisons and places of detention, in which different medical care is not available, and the prisons' administrations do not work any preventive, precautionary or remedial measures in the face of epidemics, and all that they provide to patients are Sedatives, and there are no qualified medical personnel and their clinics, if any, are not equipped.
It explained that there are 173 abducted patients suffering from chronic diseases, including 57 abductees in the capital Sana'a, 45 from Hudaydah governorate, 23 from Hajjah governorate, 21 from Taiz governorate, and 10 are from Ibb governorate, 10 are from Aden governorate, 5 from Dhamar governorate and 2 from the Marib governorate, and they all are from the weakest group that can face the threat of this epidemic.
The Association demanded the Houthi militias, the government and military formations to release urgently and exceptionally all male and female abductees, forcibly disappeared and arbitrary male and female detainees and detainees in all prisons and places of detention in northern and southern Yemen, bypassing the prolonged mechanisms, to speed up implementation.
It affirmed that there are no personal and general hygiene requirements in prisons and places of detention and that the abducted do not have enough of clean drinking water and balanced food, which weakens their immunity in the face of diseases and epidemics, and they are systematically subjected to psychological torture, which makes them in fear and tension always.
